There have been 4,194 MIS-C cases (which is what that boy had). All people with MIS-C were 20-yrs old and under. Interpolating the data, about 4MM COVID19 ases and 745 COVID19 fatalities arose in this age bracket.

The combination of deaths and MIS-C is 0.12% of all cases in this age bracket.

Everyone's situation different and I wouldn't say a parent should NEVER opt for this or that treatment. That said, while I agree there is more to all this than just survival risk, as tragic as was this boy's tale, I still don't believe it's reasonable to push a new messenger RNA platform on youngsters for a bug that has a 99.88% survival/non MIS-C rate.
