Once 1979 Alien came out everyone wanted to have that level of sfx in their scifi horror movie. Gone was subtlety. Ut realize there were a lot stricter movie decency codes in 1951, and also far lower movie bugets in 1951, plus so much of the tech and materials to d this wasnt around in 1951.

Has anyone seen 2011’s The Thing? It’s the prequel to John Carpenter’s movie that takes place at the Norwegian station right before the events of the dog being shot at as it comes up to the McMurdo station where Kurt Russell’s character is.I encourage anyone to watch it. It’s the Norwegians that stumbles upon the saucer buried in the ice. You’ll get to see all that and how the Thing escapes from them.

RE 2011 Thing:
Yes, I saw it. Awesome monster movie.
The 1982 version, though, IMHO, is one of THE greatest monster movies of all time. Up there with “Aliens” for sheer monstrosity...

I concur with you. The soundtrack is creepy as hell. Simple but creepy.

Not really a cinematically impressive movie, so I won’t expect much from UHD.

Good summation spot on. Aliens is still at the top of my list though.

Will the 4K UHD disc play in my 1080p Blu-ray player?

RE Vidoe Game:
PS2 version...again, one of THE best horror video games I ever played.
Wish they’d remaster it for the PS4 or PS5 now...
“Resident Evil” was good too... they did remake it for PS4.
