(No update was provided on 5 July, the first day that was skipped - Vaccination slow on this Holiday weekend report - Cases, Hospitalizations and Deaths remain low - Reports from Israel that Pfizer less effective (64%) against mild cases of Delta variant, but still strong against severe disease - Biden announced new vaccination plan)

Total Vaccine Doses Delivered: 383,068,840 (21,434,300 J&J)

Administered: 331,214,347 (12,646,604 J&J)

People Vaccinated, At Least One Dose: 182,714,064

Fully Vaccinated: 157,636,088

(Excerpt) Read more at covid.cdc.gov ...

TOPICS:
KEYWORDS: herecometheqlowns; herecometheqtards; jj; moderna; pfizer
In the 48 hours since the last report:

Total Vaccine Doses Delivered: About 100 (Weekend/Holiday pause) (Still No J&J - over two weeks)

Administered: 610,000 (Weak) (30,000 J&J - weak)

People Vaccinated, First Shot: 301,000 (Weak).

Fully Vaccinated: 312,000 (Weak)

% Total Population with at least a First Shot: 55% (up 0.1)

Those ≥ 18 Years of Age (Adults): 67.1% (flat)

Those ≥ 65 Years of Age: 88.4 % (up 0.1) (78.6% Fully Vaccinated - down 0.1)

Cases, Hospitalizations and Deaths low, but these Holiday weekend numbers will likely be revised in coming days

38 and 37 Deaths over two days - likely these anomalous very low numbers from the Holiday weekend, will be revised upward toward the norm, over the next few days.

Reports from Israel that Pfizer may only be about 64% effective against mild cases of Delta variant, but still strong against severe disease

Resident Biden on Tuesday (6 July) announced his new five point plan to increase vaccination rates:

- Door-to-door canvassing in communities with low vaccination rates - Getting vaccines into primary care physicians’ offices - Pushing adolescents to get vaccinated as part of their back-to-school health checkups - Bring vaccine clinics to workplaces - Expand mobile clinics.

The rise in Covid among the vaccinated is actually harm caused by the vaccine being passed off as 'variants'. Having another shot will only sicken and kill more people.

Dr. Yeadon, former Chief Science Officer for Pfizer’s Allergy and Infectious Diseases division, said that a researcher located those who’d had SARS1 in 2003 and tested them this year, with that original SARS1 virus. Those people were still immune, after 17 years.

The researcher then tested those people with SARS2 (Covid). Those people were immune. There is ‘only’ a 22% difference in the genomes between Sars1 and Sars2 and so immunity held.

But note those ill in 2003 did not maintain active antibodies for 17 years. Their immune sytem hibernated those (my words) antibodies until it recognized the pathogen from years ago and began producing antibodies.

There are two wings to the immune system and Big Pharma is focusing on ‘active antibodies’ as if that is an accurate indicator of immunity. It actually means ‘activated immunity’, when you may have immunity but haven’t been exposed in so long you don’t have the antibodies.

Dr. Yeadon says the ‘variants’ are no more than 1% or 2% different from Covid and those who’ve had Covid will be immune to the variants.

The Deep State just wants a repeat performance, They want to put us through the lockdowns and panic as if it never happened before; they like the way we obeyed and want to see it again.

Safe, effective treatments which cut risk of hospitalization and death among the most vulnerable (elderly, co-morbidities) by 85% have always been available. There's no need to become a lab experiment for toxic 'shots'.

Early Treatment Protocols (Collection of Covid-19 resources, treatment and prophylactic protocols)

Took the nut almost 20 minutes to spam the thread LOL!
Poor thing is losing it now that it’s ignored.

Not much news.
See a lot of complaints about the Israeli report, but unconvincing to me. My attitude is it’s one report, we’ll see what else we see. There are others showing better vax results.
“Natalie E. Dean, PhD

Remember, observational vaccine study data are not randomized trial data. Allow for additional fudge factors. Importantly:
- Based on smaller epidemic, lower # of cases
- Fewer unvaccinated people, makes matching harder
- Does not negate other studies with higher VE estimates”

Seeing discussion of reduced dosages so more can be vaxxed.
We’ll see. There certainly seems to be much to gain from just exposing the immune system so it can learn the virus instead of starting from scratch when attacked.
Though having a whole bunch of specific antibodies can’t hurt too.

And I’ll continue my rant about it being so inconvenient for rural people to get vaxxed. But quietly...

A lot of govt. people are getting lazy about reporting lately. 25 states failed to report their daily updates to the Coronavirus site yesterday. It’s not much better today though some always come in late. The number of states skipping daily reports has grown lately. Colorado adds cases every day above those actually reported, maybe that’s common.

What’s the point of working for the government if you can’t be lazy? Once you get your foot in the door, you’re supposed to kick back, enjoy the benefits, and wait for retirement. Go-getters go get real jobs.

Still something like 93% effective against severe illness, yes? I think that's what I saw. Still among the best vaccines ever developed. Once they get their BLA later this summer, I *think* they'll be able to put out modified shots as an addendum to the BLA the same way flu vaccines do every year. The benefit there is they can likely get them into your local Walgreens or CVS in a matter of weeks upon emergence of a new variant that's evading the existing vaccine. J&J will be left in the dust at that point.

I've been hearing talk of smaller doses for a while, and I believe there is a trial in progress. The dose sizes they arrived at were a "one size fits all" solution, to include older folks weaker immune systems. Moderna has already initiated a plan to manufacture "half doses".

“older folks weaker immune systems”

I’ve been seeing talk of giving the elderly 3rd shots because their immune system may not respond strongly to the vax.

VAERS accepts reports of adverse events and reactions that occur following vaccination. Healthcare providers, vaccine manufacturers, and the public can submit reports to the system. While very important in monitoring vaccine safety, VAERS reports alone cannot be used to determine if a vaccine caused or contributed to an adverse event or illness. The reports may contain information that is incomplete, inaccurate, coincidental, or unverifiable. In large part, reports to VAERS are voluntary, which means they are subject to biases. This creates specific limitations on how the data can be used scientifically. Data from VAERS reports should always be interpreted with these limitations in mind.

From the VAERS database. It bears repeating.

I know I pester you for your first-hand info but...

What is the cost of a monoclonal antibody treatment?
Is it counted that a person is “hospitalized” when receiving the transfusion?

Yes, it is sad that there is someone who must spam threads which he or she might not agree with while admonishing others on threads he or she posts to not spam or disrupt.

The vaccines are not causing variant. The vaccines are reducing death and critical illness in Israel. The Pfizer chief today stated that the end of the pandemic is in sight world wide. This, plus the entrance of stage II trials in Greece of a targeted oral anti viral will allow people to stop sniffing the dirt for drugs that are at best incomplete solutions.

R&D moves forward to meet the challenges presented.

“We built great big things, made ungodly technological advances, explored the universe, cured diseases, and cultivated the world’s greatest artists and the world’s greatest economy. We reached for the stars, and we acted like men. We aspired to intelligence; we didn’t belittle it; it didn’t make us feel inferior. We didn’t identify ourselves by who we voted for in the last election, and we didn’t scare so easy. And we were able to be all these things and do all these things because we were informed. By great men, men who were revered.”

This quote is from the opening of newsroom — note — We cured disease — we acted like men. We aspired to intelligence, we didn’t belittle it, we were informed.
But not any more — we are not acting like men with this constant drumbeat of never advancing. The fact of the matter is the people who refuse progress are scared very easily. It is hardly that which built this great country. Thank God PDJT had the gonads to launch operation warp speed, and put s serious dent in this pandemic. Something many people seem to forget.

You never pester...currently the monoclonals are being given for free. Due to some idiot bureaucrat I cannot administer it to an inpatient as it has been determined they do not meet criteria. I have discharged patients who are hospitalized but on the floor (not in the ICU) to get infused, and they have done beautifully.

There is no reason that a patient in the hospital who meet criteria (Positive test, symptomatic, and under 10 days from the onset of symptoms) should not be availed this cutting edge, life saving therapeutic that actually works.

“Reports from Israel that Pfizer may only be about 64% effective against mild cases of Delta variant, but still strong against severe disease”

“Still something like 93% effective against severe illness, yes?”

I think that is what was just reported in Israel.

On another post, someone posted a paper from “Public Health England” (Technical briefing 17
25 June 2021), https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/997418/Variants_of_Concern_VOC_Technical_Briefing_17.pdf

On page 39, they indicate that the vaccine (I believe they are talking about Pfizer BioNTech, but did not verify), was less effective against Delta for symptomatic Disease (79%, vs 89% against Alpha, for fully vaccinated), but was actually MORE effective against hospitalization from Delta (96%, vs. 93% against Alpha, fully vaccinated).

On a different topic, it also notes that C.37 (Lambda), the Peruvian variant, is now on their radar screen as a Variant Under Investigation.

Funny enough, Sinopharm (Chinese vaccine maker) is under investigation in Peru for allegations they bribed public officials to get their vaccine ordered for the country.

All in all, Peru has had continued outbreaks of COVID-19 because they (like much of the rest of Latin America) relied on the Chinese vaccines from CanSino, Sinovac, and Sinopharm, and all of the Chinese vaccines are absolute garbage. You know, like everything else made in China. And because those cheap idiots used those garbage Chinese vaccines, more people got infected, and one of them served as the incubator for this new variant that’s looking like it could be another problem.

Hopefully Pfizer and Moderna get their BLA soon so they can make variant-specific shots available to the public via BLA addendums. I would gladly get one that covers the India, UK, South Africa, and Peru variants. One specifically formulated against those variants should maintain extremely high efficacy. This is the whole promise of the mRNA platform: rapid development and redevelopment that keeps up with mutations.

Given recent reports that President Trump’s condition was actually worse than originally reported, and the fact that he himself called his monoclonal antibody therapy a miracle drug, it seems these should be much more widely available.

To answer the original question, most of the cost estimates I’ve seen ranged from $1,100 - $1,500 per treatment. So not cheap, at least not today. But a basic VCR cost $1,000 or more when new at one point too.

That’s the cost of aspirin compared to a stay in the ICU.

Perhaps the supply is limited? I can’t imagine cost being a factor. But then again, bureaucrats, so there is that.
