America’s Founders recognized that domestic tranquility was one of government’s first responsibilities so what happens when Democrats abandon that duty?
Although this journal is called the American Thinker it can be useful to hear the observations of a non-American thinker on what appear to be bewildering and growing problems in America.
Public safety is perhaps the pre-eminent responsibility of government. If a government cannot protect its citizens against criminal members of its society, or even against the unlawful behavior of government itself, that nation no longer deserves to call itself a functioning democracy.
Has the United States reached that point?
The Constitution, which is the primary document of the United States government, begins, “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare....”
These provisions are the basic tenets of the need to maintain civil order and public safety in a nation in harmony with itself. It means providing law and order, protection, and safety for each lawful individual citizen.
The Founders wrote the Constitution that way because it was known that there will be people, or even tyrants, who do not respect their fellow citizens and who are willing to take the law into their own hands. This is especially true if the government fails to provide mechanisms to police against crime and punish it when it occurs.
The outcome of defunding or dismantling law enforcement must, inevitably, lead to a sharp increase in lawlessness and violence. In those parts of America that have aggressively defunded or dismantled their law enforcement, areas that are almost exclusively Democrat-governed states and cities, the social fabric has indeed broken down.

I admit to being puzzled when Soros started funding district attorney races and installing rabid leftists. Its becoming clear now: differential application of the law.

Soros was simply, and quite brilliantly, merely following a pattern set by Josef Stalin in the 1920s, shortly after the Bolsheviks took over. Stalin was held in low regard by the lead Bolsheviks, such as Trotsky, but they respected his organizing acumen. So while Lenin and Trotsky would concentrate on big issues, Stalin appointed the bureaucrats who controlled scheduling, doled out stolen government funds etc. and whose loyalty was to him; when it came time to use the full force of the fascist Soviet government against his foes, his people were in place. Stalin knew that it was who counted the votes and enforced the “laws” who were important; not the policy twits he put on trial in 1937 or had killed. Soros did the same thing - spend millions electing Secretaries of State such as Hobbs in AZ, the others in states such as PA and MI, who set election rules and count the ballots; get far left loons in hock to him elected as DAs in San Francisco, LA and Philadelphia, the latter of whom threatened to arrest lawyers for Trump at election time. Stalin set the trend - get control of the lower level faceless bureaucrats with power and you can steal the election such as in AZ (election expert Richard Baris said this week that the audit should show that Trump really won AZ by about 2.5 points).
“Democratic Republic” sounds like an African dictatorship with Soviet backing.
The headline writer is, at best, ignorant of history. America was not set up as a Democracy, and it would be good if the concept dies.

Elections are FAR more corrupt than close..and have been so for decades.
ALL “progressive/left” power originates from Electoral Fraud. ALL urban decline commences with electoral fraud. ALL OF IT.

Once the fraudulent processes are in place the networks of control assembled from decades of accumulated dirt and control crimes on one another in local and state and national politics layer and layer into a massive social/administrative/economic national mess. A slow “progression”into a nationwide dystopia.

This is why people are only now starting to ask this question, not realizing that it’s already too late.
We lost the Constitution when NONE of our elected OR appointed would uphold it and allowed an ineligible Kenyan from Indonesia into the office the Constitution says he may not hold.

I had never even heard of the Dominion grift until after the Steal.
The Dems were so desperate to get rid of Trump that they had to stop the counting on election night in order to calibrate the cheat algorithm and get more photo-copied ballots to the polls. Any fair audit would reveal this.
I was also appalled at the complicity of the RINOs. I always knew they were squishy, but they revealed themselves to be out-and-out traitors, especially in the state legislatures.
If we can do two things, then the price of Trump having been cheated will have been worth it:
(1) Vote out every RINO who must face a primary in 2022, and replace them with America First patriots (especially in the state legislatures). Rinse and repeat every two years until every last RINO has been purged from the GOP.
(2) Go back to paper ballots and one-day voting on Election Day. Make it a holiday so people don't have to go to work.
If we accomplish these two things, then the 2024 election should result in a landslide America First win in the WH, Congress and state legislatures. And once that happens, a third thing needs to be done:
(3) All future Supreme Court appointments are to be America First patriots. No more RINOs.
With friends like RINOs, who needs enemies? Make voting machines connected to the internet and RINOs a relic of the past.
