Never interrupt a python when it’s using the toilet, would be my take-away from that story. Gruesome.

What's interesting about the solution in that case was that they didn't want to kill the snake. Instead of just getting a knife and cutting the python in half, they took the time and trouble to open its jaws. I would have just asked for the knife.

BTDT.

One day, mother went in to use the toilet and immediately came out hollering about a snake in it. No one believed her but she kept on and on about it. Grandpa got tired of listening to her so went to his solution for everything - gasoline. He poured a gallon down the toilet and a bunch of weird white stuff came floating up. Of course, I sat down in front of it, rested my arms on the seat and stuck my nose in to see what the stuff was. About that time, a six foot racer shot out and hit me square between the eyes knocking me back and was going crazy trying to slither up to the ceiling.

I ran to the living room and jumped on the coffee table. Mother followed to the couch. Grandpa was left alone in the bathroom hollering for someone to shut the door. Miss Prim and Proper Mother told him to shut the @(&^_(*# door himself. It was an old farmhouse so the door was several inches above the floor so the snake came at us in the living room.

Grandpa later admitted he’d been hearing noises in the bathroom at night and had put a rock on the toilet lid.

Guess they still haven’t found the cobra that escaped last week.

If that’s their policy, they need to find a way to make the snake let go, NOW. Ammonia? Chloroform? I mean, really. The guy struggles for a half hour and THEN passes out?

They caught that Raleigh cobra on someone’s porch about a 1/2 mile from where he escaped.

Kind of makes sense to be bitten down under in Australia.

Thank goodness.

Hope he didn’t find a friend to mate with. Why are those things allowed into the US? Why is any exotic animal allowed in?

Wait, he was bit in his Austria?

Or maybe he was bit in his land down under? I get them confused. The man bit his neighbor...

Reminds me of the Alligator scare in the NYC sewer system back in the late 50’s. People coming up from Florida to NYC, would bring up baby Alligators and put them in a fish tank, no water in tank. When they got tired of the gators, they would flush the little guys. As a kid it left quite an impression on me.
