The voting will be done completely by mail,which allows ballot harvesting a time when many people are away from home and are not focused on politics. But the ballots will be mailed out mid-August, It would not surprise me if a lot of ballots got thrown away with the junk mail when people return from vacation.
B4 we(you) get started let me say there are too many naysayers here. Just what are you going to do for the next 71 days? There’s still a good candidate(alternative) out there somewhere. Probably waiting till tomorrow as today is a holiday. A short campaign period works in our favor as voters attention spans are shorter. Then there’s the teachable stuff von a silver platter. Will we go to work? Like I said naysayers will be no help.
PREDICTION: Newsom will RETAIN the governorship.
Because Demonrats can throw any election they want.
I don't live in that hellhole, but I don't plan on voting until after the war, when a different polity is set up than this doddering Late-Era-Soviet-type empire.
Hindsight is 20-20. I think 66 year old Peter Uberoff would have been the best governor-problem solver. Voters went for the flash in Arnold. Are we in worse shape today? Bring up the fires, blackouts, and covid response. Pedal to the medal. Who’s the man? Not Cox-loser. A GOP winner can only veto the rat filled assembly/senate and Arnold gave up. The gay billionaire? VDH would have a calming effect over the discussion but we need a fighter who can botch-slap. No idea who it is.
There shouldn't have even been a recall to begin with CA residents simply need to be shown what misery is like under Dem rule and make that connection.
Cox and Faulconer are losers. Cox is too old and he already has lost a state wide election. Faulconer is a closet Democrat from San Diego who lost a ton of taxpayer money while mayor of San Diego on a shady real estate deal. I hope that Larry Elder throws his hat into the ring.

If Newsom can’t steal a mail-in election, he is a failed politician who should be removed.

Well, that’s cheating. Especially ballot harvesting. I’m not entirely opposing to mail in ballots if there are rules about it and there’s a way to verify every mail in ballots but we know this is not happening in California.
Newsom prevails, the media will hail him as “The Comeback Kid”, and he cruises to the 2024 Nomination.
Outstanding choice! But, I haven't heard that he is getting into the race.
And since the election is being done by mail, the rats will cheat and say Pelosi's nephew survived the recall, no matter what the true results are.
But, if Larry does run, he has our vote.
Bingo! The fires and annual summer blackout will still be happening when people go to the polls. Maybe the are banking on blackouts as an excuse to control the ballots and cheat.
The result will have nothing to do with the actual real votes anyways. Pure Fraud.
If not he’ll be POTUS in ‘25.
