Best way to prepare is to get the vaccine.

In the age of grampa Xiden who can afford a full tank of gas?!
I still have slivers of naive hope.
I will probably be baked in an oven before I have a chance to shovel snow.
In the re-education FEMA Camp, I will probably learn that “The Kenyan” was the founder of this country. In some ways, this is true; not in a good way.
If you are new to hurricane country, don’t listen to FEMA or any other government institution. They have all gone bat stuff crazy. Listen to your neighbors who have lived through these storms. Prepare accordingly. If it is a bad enough storm you may be on your own for days or weeks.
The peak of the season runs from mid August to about mid September.
Some in the "high-risk" category may feel their chances are better with the vaccine - and that's OK.
I'm in excellent shape for my age, as is my wife, and we feel the risks of the Vax do not outweigh the possible benefits - and that's OK, too.
Takes as much or little effort as being downtrodden and fatalistic I suppose. Can’t hurt but don’t hang your hat on it.
No you’ll get to shovel the snow that leads to the oven which will warm you up, when you get there that’s when you will receive the lecture on the Founder. You will be offered one last chance to swear allegiance to Him and His Ideas. If you refuse, you will get even more warm ...
I don’t put people down for making the decision with regard to the shot.
It’s just that in my opinion, preparing for a hurricane by getting the shot? I can think of other options in how to prepare and a shot was not one of them. I was thinking more in terms of safety for my family, what I could do to prevent major damage to my property, food, shelter.....
One mask can protect you in normal weather. Two masks are needed with tropical storm wind speeds of 39 to 73 mph. But once the wind speed hits 74 mph masks can’t protect you, even hiding in a closet, so you must have the vaccine.
(I misunderstood your first post - sorry)
No worries. :)
Good grief, even recommending Depends would be a better suggestion than the death shot. At least they might be useful.
