A large group of protesters wearing uniforms, carrying "Reclaim America" banners and upside-down American flags marched through Old City passing Independence Hall late on the eve of July 4th. They arrived loaded in several Penske trucks in the city.

My $0.02 from one of few Americans of African dissent here in Freepland...

Red article. Went to website. Red manifesto...

A little bit too articulate for my taste... As in... Anyone else smells something fishy about this?

Yes, it's good he finally said something. I know he said to protest peacefully, but still he encouraged everyone to come to DC for the "Stop the Steal" rally.

I know at least some of the people arrested felt they were invited into the capitol by the Capitol Police holding the doors open for them. So, from my way of thinking they are totally innocent. (Some are grandmothers of ladies in their 70s).

The conditions they are being held in are appalling. Because the Biden regime and their media allies have been falsely accusing people of being "White Supremacists" (there is that libelous tag being applied again), several of the detainees have reported that they have been taunted and beaten by the African-American guards. One lost an eye, another teeth. So it goes in Biden's gulag.

So it's a complete outrage in my book, and Trump is *very* late to the table. These are his supporters, who followed his request, and are now being tormented! He should have pardoned them all, instead he was pardoning financial criminals and reformed drug dealers.

Why are you sending him money? He has plenty. Are you hoping he runs again? While I enthusiastically supported and voted for him twice, I personally think he's had his shot and hope someone else gets the GOP nomination in 2020.

Trump turns everything into the Trump show. It was amusing at times, frustrating at other times, but never boring. But for all his tough talk (who didn't love him taking down CNN or Jim Acosta) we need a President who is going to accomplish things for our side, for US. My take is he just wasn't very good at the mechanics of the job, despite good intentions.

In my book that doesn't justify a 3rd nomination. Let DeSantis have a shot. He's actually governing in a way that benefits normal, conservative citizens in his state.

What do you think is "fishy"? The article was pretty lame, the reporter couldn't figure out what the group was? I figued it out by blowing up the photographs, and then with others on the thread learned a bunch about they group. Not sure why the reporter couldn't have done that. (Didn't want to give them the free publicity? Never stops them with anyone else who protests.)

As for their ideology, it's not my cup of tea, but I've expressed why I am personally not going to run them down or throw nasty names at them.

I'm old, perhaps to old to change my ways. I still believe in the old "Civic Nationalist" (what the youngster's call "CivNat") ideals, of actually making the words of the Declaration of Independence real.

But I can understand why many of them are moving on to other, more radical positions. What we've done hasn't worked, in my opinion, as explained above.

Sadly, that includes the Trump administration, which had lots of smoke and lightning, but didn't really fix anything.

Yeah. The flags threw me off a bit. They have their own or something. Could be woke BLMers or antifafa for all I know. There is a fancy video on their homepage. Would be interesting to find out who produced that.

They have a list of public protests that they have held on their web site. If you review those I think you have to admit that they are not woke BLMers or antifafa.

Here is their description of their Memorial Day marches:

Activists held joint memorial marches in San Antonio, Texas and Nashville, Tennessee. These observations of Memorial Day stand in contrast to the commonplace, degrading gestures given by state office or those who find American life valuable enough to honor once it has past in conflict, but not so valuable that we must wage our battles for the nation alone.

In San Antonio, the activists proceeded through downtown and held a speech in front of Alamo Plaza, on the very grounds that the storied battle took place nearly two centuries ago. For perhaps the first time since the cannons roared on that prairie, a great number of Americans echoed the same spirit that made sacred that rocky soil. Surrounding the hallowed site are peddlers of innumerable useless trinkets, desperate attempts to pry money from the crowds with drink or game. Consumerism won the battle for the city more divisively than the foreign armies which once assailed the soldiers of the Alamo.

In Nashville, the activists crossed the Cumberland River, and travelled through the city to reach a large Great War memorial located within Legislative Plaza. Day by day, oblivious pedestrians and disgraceful bureaucrats irreverently walk past the countless names of the vanquished placed upon the walls of the plaza. The venues for vice, and obscene displays of indulgence are packed wall to wall, yet the sites of the men who granted the prosperity that is now relentlessly abused are as silent as the graves of the men to which they are dedicated.

We wage war against the despair that has been inflicted upon our people. The countless humiliations and injustices are our opponents in this battle for the national spirit. To embody a revolutionary conviction is to make ones soul inhospitable to the deepest reaches of tyranny over the minds of men. Realizations that the world is within grasp, that the future is unwritten, deny the enemies of our nation the one thing that they can never force us to yield. Our sacred honor.

Beautiful conviction is spiritual revolution. Life is not so dear to us, and comfort is not so cherished that we will bear witness to the corruption of the modern state idle. Cultural tyranny exalts the conveniences of conventional life above all else, and tells us that nothing is worth the discomfort that opposing it would bring. We disagree. The price of our lives is an unbroken chain of resistance from when our eyes are first open to the nation's cause, to the very ends of our strength, and our youth.. Until there are new generations of the nation's faithful ready to answer the call that will only fall silent when the last patriot sheds the last drop of American blood.

Pretty clearly they are opposed to BLM and Antifa, diametrically opposed.

I also notice that they are able to pull off events without ending up fighting battles in the street with antifa.

That's a skill that a lot of others on the right lack. Just yesterday that attempt by some people to protest the spa that is letting men walk around in the ladies dressing room (because they say they are "trans") devolved into fights and beatings when the antifa showed up.

Even Trump rally attendees were subjected to beatings from Leftist thugs while the police stood by and watched.

I've said for a while: the Right can't use the tactics of the Left successfully. (Of course, a lot of their tactics we denounce, and would have no interest in using.) Specifically, the idea that you can publically announce and hold a patriotic rally in many parts of the USA in 2021 is a silly one.

The leftists don't care. No matter what the supposed topic is of the rally, even something utterly mundane in seemingly inoffensive like "honoring our flag" will bring out the antifa ghouls who train on how to disrupt rallies they oppose. Quite a few well-meaning people have ended up in the hospital because of them. (Andy Ngo for one.)

[my tin foil hat firmly snug upon head]

* A well-written manifesto with just enough buzzwords that can be interpreted to...

* Conveniently show up in Ryder trucks. How inconspicuous... How does one work so well under the radar these days?

* Local media happens to be there. Altercation ensues. Caught on camera of course.

* and we all know the opposition needs a false flag incident somewhere, and someone to point to finger at.

* I dig the khaki pants. What is this, a fraternity prank? Jake from State Farm? Too neat. Too clean.

* I’m a bit long in the tooth here. strangely enough I’ve never heard of these guys.

Translation: I smell Feds - looking for a soul to steal.

[Now removing tin foil hat. Not to mention, the ribs are done. Happy 4th]

Remember, this was a police set-up against Trump supporters. They were led right into the mob. (Same tactic the police used in Charlottesville. Which was worse, they then arrested the victims of the mob attack for defending themselves.)

San Jose: Lawsuit over violent Donald Trump rally settled

The headline is misleading, it makes it sound like the Trump rally attendees were violent. But that's not what happened, and the article does a pretty good job of explaining it.

The use of mild tactics and the expectations that we grew up with, like openly rallying for causes we believed in, attending major party campaign rallies and expecting the police to maintain order, those are NOT things that today's 20 year old rightist or conservatives expect.

It's not what they've experienced.

Big 'Freedom Rally' in Beverly Hills ends after attack on Trump supporter by counterprotesters and unlawful assembly declared

USA: Clashes erupt as counter-protest hits Patriot Prayer rally in Portland

And of course, in Portland the Antifa ambushed, shot and killed a random person walking back from his car from a rally.

I don’t think Trump is going to run again, but I think he’s going to use his influence to pick a candidate.

I’m a Trump supporter, in general, but I don’t think he or any politician is beyond constructive criticism. There are some people here who do believe that their candidate, in this case, Trump, is beyond criticism and will condemn you as an “anti-Trumper” if you say anything even slightly critical. But this is America, and we should criticize our politicians.

As for the Trump rally, DeSantis distanced himself from it, probably with Trump’s approval, because the left here in Florida is attacking him like mad over the condo collapse (which had nothing to do with him). It’s a sort of Bush/Hurricane Katrina scenario, with a Dem manipulated blame game.

However, DeSantis did turn up at the rally, and I suspect that Trump will hand it off to him.

Trump is doing well and appeared to be in great form, not like the drooling idiot in the WH. But I think Trump also realizes it’s time for a new generation, although if he comes out and says that, he’ll lose a lot of clout.

The Dems are still afraid of him and hate him, which is a good thing. Personally, I think he did a good job and would have been one of our great presidents - if the media and the Dems had not been so deranged and so powerful.

I agree that the white supremacist term I used is inaccurate, and evident of the degree to which leftist ideology can affect someone who thinks he is not susceptible. White separatists or white nationalists would be more accurate terms.

However, the United States was not founded on the basis of white or European nationalism. The founding documents, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, were written by men who were primarily influenced by Biblical teaching and secondarily by the Enlightenment. Thomas Jefferson was more influenced by the latter, whereas Hamilton and Madison were more influenced by the former. While the Founding Fathers were overwhelmingly Protestant and, to a great extent, Calvinist, their beliefs respective to religion were tolerant towards Catholics, Jews, Unitarians, and even nonbelievers, though the last group was often barred from public office. America was never a melting pot of either all races or European descendants, but a nation founded mainly by descendants of English and Scottish immigrants. Other people, from the Germans, Irish, and Scandinavians in the mid-1800s, the Italians, Jews, and Eastern Europeans in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and the Hispanics and Asians in the 1960s and thereafter, assimilated and became Americanized, taking on and influencing the British based existing culture.

I concur that there is inherent unfairness in the mainstream culture and Federal and many state governments encouraging black, Hispanic, and Asian grievances and hostility toward whites but on the other hand coming down harshly on whites who would nurture their grievances. Thus, BLM and Antifa (made up mostly of self-hating whites) can protest at will, burn down hundreds of properties, and kill and maim people. Yet when a group like the Proud Boys fight back, police and prosecutors, local and Federal, will pursue them as if they were al-Qaida or the Mafia.

Never forget that our enemies are wily; the events of the "Reichstag Fire" of January 6th is evidence of their skills. They know that there are elements among young whites who resent the inherent unfairness. That is where the FBI and other Federal agencies, as well as the ADL and SPLC, become involved. They set up front groups, lure susceptible people into them with inflammatory rhetoric, and lure them into violent acts. If the FBI stops them, they will brag how they stopped "violent extremists" from some horrible plot and use it to increase their funding. If they decide to run a false flag, the MSM will run with it for days as a top story. Democrats and many Republicans, who say nothing about leftist terrorism, will loudly proclaim how they are opposed to these "violent extremists".

The bottom line is that no conservative or patriot of any age should join groups that are set up to support the narrative.
