It’s worse than we thought. It’s bad enough that “peoples of color” are victims of racist math and racist bird names, but now we know they are also made to suffer from “tree inequity.”
It’s worse than we thought. It’s bad enough that “peoples of color” are victims of racist math and racist bird names, but now we know they are also made to suffer from “tree inequity.”
A research group called American Forests, in conjunction with the United States Forest Service, recently announced that peoples of color, living as many do in socioeconomically disadvantaged communities, often have fewer trees around them than do those residing in wealthier white communities. The group claims that trees are disproportionality planted in those wealthier and whiter neighborhoods and that this has “deprived many communities of color of the health and other benefits that sufficient tree cover can deliver.”
The USFS funds the utilization of a 100-point system to determine whether there are “enough” trees planted in a given neighborhood, known as the new Tree Equity Score.

I have never seen a minority so fragile as blacks. You cant photograph them for voting ID, but its ok for drivers licenses. Republicans hate them ( after we liberated them) Math for some reason hates them. History hates them. They are being harrassed 24/7 by millions of invisable white supremecists. Birds even hate them at a Hitchcock level, and now those damn trees. Why the only people that seem to care, are the ones that created the KKK to protect them, created Jk Crow and segragation laws, and are responsible for exterminating them through abortion, the DNC.
But even then, their solutions are all more big government, making the problems worse.
They've been running their climate change scam for decades. All the ills of the world have been caused by global warming and climate change.
Now racial equality and systemic racism is splintering off into a new grievance industry for them.
All of the problems of the world are no longer caused by the temperature of the planet rising a degree or two, but of things like tree inequity. The ills of the blacks are because they don't have enough trees like whitey does.
Simple solution. Plant some more trees in your neighborhoods and cities. Planting a tree is cheap. It's the long-term care and maintenance of the tree that takes time and effort.
And then when the ills of blacks don't improve, I'm sure the democRATS will come up with some other systemic racial inequity that befalls blacks.
Multiply this by every city in the USA. Dallas forced the issue and has better tree coverage in those neighborhoods.

This kind of work is not cheap but the crews that come in are always Hispanic as well. They even cut down trees in the conservation area behind the homes which is totally illegal yet the county and the state code enforcement and environmental agencies will do nothing to stop it.
When these trees are gone the subdivision looks like it had been hit by a forest fire. All the shade is gone. New owners will be looking at much larger electric bills to cool the interior of their homes from the hot Florida sun after spending a thousand dollars to get rid of the tree that was in their front yard.
It is true this is how you can tell the difference between well maintained subdivisions and the ones that have been trashed. The older more stable ones have excellent tree cover. These people are so damned destructive and unmindful of the value of some things that cannot be easily replaced once they are destroyed.
Not the BB?
Plant a tree in Brooklyn? Why not plant marijuana, now that the Left was successful in getting it legalized?
LOL! These people make me laugh, really. Where are they noticing these phenomena?
Is the entire country of the United States made up of only ghettos and white, wealthy suburbs?
Come to the South, where millions of black and white people live in small, rural communities.
There are trees EVERYWHERE! In fact, in many places, the trees themselves are covered with kudzu, Japanese honeysuckle and trumpet flower vines.
It the hot, humid extended Summer, all this grows like it’s on steroids.
Well, if only the bears would stop stealing pic-a-nic baskets and burning crosses.
Plenty of images on google of blocks and blocks of nature reclaiming abandoned, blighted urban areas rife with wildlife.

I thought we were also told trees are racist. So which is it?
AMEN🙏
I tell my wife every time she wants to plant a pecan tree that you are doing it for someone else.
“...35 year old shade tree oaks with 3-4 foot wide trunks getting cut down every time one of the homes changes hands over to Hispanics.”
Wow, how sad and destructive!
They’re not used to shade, prefer it sunny?
They cut them & sell for furniture lumber?
They don’t like birds and squirrels?
One day trees are racist because blacks were once lynched in them. The next day it’s racist because there are not enough trees in black neighborhoods. Can we please stop?
Yes it is, plus you have to tend and care for the tree in order for it to prosper, so that wouldn’t be fair or equitable.
Plus the reason a lot folks live in the big hives is so that they are NOT responsible for anything, they are reliant on others to do things for them.
Dont think that it would work out very well for the tree.
Trees demonstrate YOU care about tomorrow.
They don’t.
White people plant and nurture trees.
Black and brown people neglect them and allow them to die.
Some trees are more equal than others.
“... than do those residing in wealthier white communities.”
White communities? No such thing. There are just areas where wealthier people of all colors live.
