Sen. Chuck Grassley, the second oldest member of the Senate, may be your next fitness inspiration.

A Politico profile on Grassley published in May, which focused on his political future and his indecision on seeking another term 2022, revealed that the Iowa senator wakes at 4 a.m. each day, often going for a two-mile run.

These two are as good as it gets for DC republicans. I don’t think Cotton has retired to the good ole swamp club yet. Grassley’s family was probably set decades ago and he’s so old he might not give a flying. We were totally jobbed by the DS when Grassley lost his Judiciary chair to that snake Graham.
Given he is 88 I am impressed and glad he stays in shape.
When I was an Infantry Battalion Commander, I was challenged by my Brigade Commander to a push up and sit up contest, with the winner getting a Diet Coke.
Never do this. He cheated. No one will challenge his push ups or sit ups, and most were not done to standard. Next step was to go to the range and duel with pistols. This contest was more fair, and I smoked him. The next step was to go to the National Training Center at Ft. Irwin and take my soldiers and his tactical plans against the NTC OPFOR. We won. He was a Great American and a pure Patriot, but no tactical genius and no born leader.
There should be age limits on the senate, just as on the Supreme Court. The addiction to ‘feeling important’ is the last thing to go, long after age and deterioration has affected every other aspect in their professional lives.
Look at Dianne Feinstein, or maybe don’t look.
