I will read this essay/poem. A lot of God haters seem to like this work. So I am curious. The God haters like to be intellectually fulfilled so I like to know more about the crutches they lean on.

In 1871 it was even officially forbidden in czarist Russia because of the revolutionary contents, although Poe’s other work was admired and influential there. Russia had FacceBook and Twitter to control 'conspiracy theories' too? Small world.?

The Bible might be Poe’s source for postulting a pulsating Universe which griws to a point then collapses only to manifest another iteration. Revelation does tell us that God is going to roll up the Universe like a scroll and make a new Heavens and New Earth.
