Last year, the people just up the road sought to avoid detection by shooting their fireworks *horizontally* from their back yard down into the stand of trees at the bottom of the ridge.

What could possibly go wrong?

The idiots up on the ridge happen to be my relatives, that I don’t associate with.

The stuff they set off rivals the fireworks they use at the Antietam Battlefield display.
They have money to burn, literally.

If they set the ridge on fire, we will be in dire peril from a blaze that the fire department will have a hard time reaching.

The first question might be why are they trying to avoid detection.

Secondly if their fireworks are illegal, why?

Thirdly if illegal where are they getting them?

Who is the supplier?

It’s the fourth for crying out loud. You can’t handle a weeks celebration of the fourth?

We seem to have the same situation where I live to some degree.

Fireworks are legal including with reservation, the good stuff. No cherry bombs, and the like which is determined by the human protection society to be explosive devices. Can’t have those.

but back to reality...

The city I don’t live in bans fireworks, at least the good stuff, so where does everyone go who has the good stuff which isn’t illegal? They go where I live maybe five miles out in the county. For about three days each Independence day it is the finest fireworks display you will ever see. The complaints are endless, whining included. Fortunately the fireworks lobby in the Capitol is pretty strong so it would be crazy for Legislators to go after the fourth of July displays, but never think it can’t happen with enough complaining.

So, needing to know more why it appears Sal A Mander has a thing for fireworks?

Sounds like we have the same relatives. LOL About thirty years ago, my buddy, who lived on 1.5 acres, set off a yuuuuge Roman candle that went sideways on him. It went over the property fence and his his neighbor’s house so hard, you could hear the bang for a mile. We ran back in the house and slammed the door so fast, I think we left our shadows outside on the patio. *chuckle*
