RIP, Dr. Quartermaine.

We watched General Hospital in my dorm during the Luke and Laura heyday. The Quartermaine family had its share of villians - scheming sister Tracy, cheating wife Monica, and demanding father Edward.

Dr. Quartermaine! What a shame! Who was his wife? Monica? It was ages ago I watched that show. RIP!

I’m old enough to remember him as a very handsome and charming Prince Charming.

I worked with Stuart on GH years ago and he really was one of the nicest guys ever. He loved his job, loved his GH “family”, and especially loved his real family. RIP, sir.

He used to be on British based TV spy shows in the 60's and 70's. I remember seeing him in an episode or two of Man in a Suitcase.

RIP. Sadly, GH show producers at the time in 2007 decided to fire him. Arguably the most unpopular act in the history of the show, and us fans were quite enraged. They brought him back a few times as a ghost, but it wasn’t the same.

My first crush. My sister and I in 1965 both fell in love with Stuart Damon as the Prince in Cinderella. I saw an interview with him where he spoke about the experience. He was a last minute replacement for Jack Jones. He was such a struggling actor that his Agent lent him much needed cash before he boarded the plane to LA. Stuart said that his whole life he was approached by Cinderella fans who always shared their wonderful memories of the show. He never in a million years ever thought it would impact so many for so long. RIP handsome prince.
