"It takes a very strong and special person to go against the “mob”"
The Desk of Donald Trump ^ | 6.29.21 | Donald J. Trump

Posted on 06/29/2021 11:35:05 AM PDT by TakebackGOP

“Jonathan Karl’s story on Slow Moving Bill Barr is made-up beyond any level imaginable. It is, in other words, Fake News! I lost confidence in Bill Barr long before the 2020 Presidential Election Scam. It was when he dismissed and didn’t act on the very powerful Horowitz Report, and instead gave everything over to John Durham, who has seemingly disappeared from the planet. Can you even believe a report coming out during the Biden Administration? We caught them but unfortunately didn’t have an Attorney General who was capable of acting and wouldn’t go against his friends in Washington, D.C. Barr was a “swamp creature” who was devastated when the Radical Left wanted to impeach him. He, and other RINOs (you see it all the time!), always fold. If he becomes “less” for President Trump, maybe they will leave him alone. It takes a very strong and special person to go against the “mob”. Bill Barr was not that person. Despite evidence of tremendous Election Fraud, he just didn’t want to go there. He was afraid, weak, and frankly, now that I see what he is saying, pathetic. The facts are rapidly coming out in States and Courts about the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, and let’s see if Bill Barr, a man who was unable to handle the pressure, was correct? The answer will be a resounding, NO!”

I guess Trump did not expect to see the level of perfidy that exists in DC.

That's my take as well. He totally underestimated (1) the depth of the corruption, and (2) the power of the President.

Trump did NOT have complete say in whom would be AG. That job has to be confirmed and turkey neck was not about to let him go full bore against the cohorts of the deep state.
Turkey neck was on board with getting the recusal pledge from sessions for example too. So, we ended up with bag pipes. Also recall that after Trump fired Sessions, whom was in charge, that lefty that fled to some Atlanta lawyer shop.

Trump was not prepared to become President it is that simple because he believed that those there, especially former military men, would fall in line as the history of those jobs demands. Of course, they seem to only do so now when they agree on what needs be done.

Trump also decided to run his own foreign policy which really blew the tops off Foggy Bottom. That bag of scum
resisted the Sec of State also.

True.

I didn’t realize how bad it was early on. Sessions behavior was shocking — and at that point, Trump should have avoided all the rotten DC apples.

My only criticism of PDJT this morning is that he made too many poor personnel selections/appointments.
I acknowledge that selecting good people is always difficult, but I’d hoped for a better batting average from PDJT given his record and experience running a successful business enterprise.
At any event, this does not obviate the fact that Mr. Barr turned out to be disappointing. It is as PDJT says, it taking a very strong person to stand up to the WashingtonDC Swamp Critters’ mob.
Mr. Barr did not demonstrate that needed strength.

Nice points. Seemed, though, like he needed this Senate-friendly friend, Sessions, who was one of Trump’s earliest and most enthused supporters. So DJT gets a lot of slack on that from me.

Donald, I love ya, but YOU HIRED BARR at a point in your term when you should have known better.

It’s funny - from just the headline, I thought this was going to be about Giuliani, who really did go up against the mob.

Then, when I realized it was about Barr - I thought what a great AG Giuliani would have been!

But to your point.. the Senate never would have confirmed him - not in a million years.

These bad appointments were not President Trump’s fault. The swamp had had him so much more tied up than people understand.

Trump’s presidency strongly resembles 4 years of living the Sisyphus Life.

“who Trump could have picked that the gopE senate would have approved”

The real problem was worrying about Senate approval in the first place, after they had demonstrated they were just using it as a cudgel to undermine Trump. He could have simply appointed loyal acting directors, and when their term expired without Senate approval, appointed another one, etc.

Barr was part of the mob. The DOJ is a criminal organization. Al Capone got a law degree. The number one job prerequisite is a sociopathic personality.

If a good person couldn’t get confirmation, pdjt could have selected one in an acting capacity ( and when that ran out, selected another good one the same way). Either the senate confirms one or they don’t. Either way, it’s better than putting a chahuahua in to do a pit bull’s job

President Trump should go on record with a pledge never to use nuclear weapons against the People of the United States.

That sounds like a gag he might use at a rally.

Even really good people with good intentions can be broken under enough pressure. And anyone who associated with President Trump were in for more than they could have imagined. At some point, even family and friends probably were applying heat.
