DeSantis would be wise not to run if Trump decides to 2024.

Young Wolf (DeSantis) knows better than to challenge Alpha Wolf (Trump).

I think DeSantis should run if he wins his reelection in 2022. Trump will be 78 and the left will mobilize to beat him again. It's a different game if DeSantis ran instead of Trump in 2024.

Don’t believe that is true at all. Nikki Haley or Tim Scott are their choices.

Why aren't the RINOs taking shots at DeSantis? Their silence quite conspicuous all while they do everything they can to keep Trump from running again.

What I would have given to be there and see those eyes.

People don’t get that President Trump is a result of us, who love the USA.

It’s not Trump per se. We’ve craved someone like him for decades.

Now, we have learned the swill on the Potomac has been infecting us with its filth, as in the pandemic. Hence concertina wire.

So what? Trump might be better as a kingmaker for political candidates than as a candidate.

DeSantis’ people say he wouldn’t challenge President Trump.

I'm fine with that. DeSantis is doing great for Florida and would best continue governing the state until 2026, IMO.

He got rid of the corrupt Dem election infrastructure, which was totally protected by the GOPe.

I can't say either way on that one, but I'm pretty sure that he made the Broward BOE head an offer she couldn't refuse after the 2018 election count-o-rama: resign or enjoy a 6 x 9 hospitality suite after being convicted for election fraud.

My speculation:

Trump will eventually endorse DeSantis. DJT does not want to run again, but he wants to decide who the next president will be. He doesn’t want to commit prematurely, though, as DeSantis still has to be re-elected governor.

Can't imagine that Melania wants DJT to run again either. She and the entire Trump family have been put through sheer hell ever since they came down the escalator in Trump Tower.

“ Nope. Not even close.

The establishment cannot abide DeSantis either. Not only is DeSantis a firm Trump ally — he is a Rush Limbaugh Republican. A true Rush baby. A Limbaugh Institute student. (The GOP establishment despised Rush.)

The GOPe fears DeSantis and fears more a Trump/DeSantis ticket. They will continue to join the Democrats in ongoing sabotage. “

Nailed it.

DeSantis (FL) and Noem (SD) are both in the same position of being early 40s, former US House members, elected Governor in 2018, up for re-election next year, and both obviously interested in being President after getting re-elected Governor. Are there others out there with the same sort of credentials?

Maybe Cuomo of New York? Just kidding on that one ;)

Without Gov DeSantis, Florida will become Calif with major cities such as Miami morphing into LA and San Francisco. With the huge influx of people from liberal states and cities, the red could turn to blue in one election cycle.
It is imperative that DeSantis remain as Fla governor thru another term. He also needs the experience of continuing to learn from on the job involvement. Pretending that DeSantis is wanted for himself is a cover for taking out Trump and the Rep party. Without Donald Trump the GOP will lose without a rigged election. The reason he ran in the first place was to accomplish what he has. The exposure of the Deep State and the unmasking of the RINOs who are well named. America will survive as a Republic with President Trumps leadership. These articles are for the purpose of destroying DeSantis, who would not win the general election, and handing Fla to the commie dems. The commie dems do not allow their people to be tired of anything, they keep them well compensated and ever moving in their efforts to destroy this Republic.

That's a good ticket for 2024.

The guy is up for re-election next year first of all so why would they? Plus, the presidential process is still a year or more out. There is not an issue DeSantis is not strong on. He’s been a conservative warrior.

The RINOs have ceased attacking Trump.

Jeb was very conservative, too, as governor of Florida.

Talented and fair journalists like George Stephanopoulos have shown that the once hard and fast line between careers in politics and journalism is obsolete. In any event, POLITICO already employs some people who have worked in politics prior to coming to journalism, or who wrote for strongly ideological platforms before reorienting themselves to straight-news journalism.
