I think 1940-2040 will be seen as the “Golden Age” of antibiotics.
By 2040 any lethal microbe will have developed resistance to all the antibiotics.
By then antibiotics will be replaced by immune enhancing drugs..e.g. genetically engineered

Go outside and play in the dirt! Quit washing your hands every ten minutes! Quit using antibacterial soap that kills everything including the HEALTHY stuff on your skin!
Lay off the hand sanitizer.
Don’t shower every single day, unless you tar roads for a living. Get over your germaphobia. ;)
