My lovely wife the RN says tis is the biggest deal them all. Antibiotics are getting less effective all the time—she says because of over use.

I take this as another fear baiting article. The human race is/ has been very resilient over the past 4,000 years…..that said, ask your wife of the hundreds of years use of colloidal silver for treating all bacterial, viral and fungus infections….can be made at home and has been used most notably by our early America settlers…it is banned by our EPA but used by NASA, medical burn units, dentists and outstanding results for herpes, hepatitis, and much more.I have used it for twenty years, and at age 62 have not been to a doctor since 2002…..( except for stitches x 3, concussion x 2, appendix removal, and a few blunt trauma incidents)….

One problem is that the current system does not give the pharma companies much incentive to develop new antibiotics.

A new antibiotic needs to be kept in reserve and only used as a last resort when all others have failed. Otherwise it too will see resistance develop.

If a company is paid by the dose, they don’t have much incentive to spend a billion dollars on a drug designed to be used so rarely.
