Before we moved to MO, I bought some half sphere ceramic filters from cheaperthandirt.com and we filtered and drank creek water for a year. The creek water was very cold so I followed the creek and found where it was coming out of the ground. I walked it occasionally to make sure there was no dead animal in it.
Tons of springs in the Ozarks.
