In 1959, Ray was caught stealing $120 in an armed robbery of a St. Louis Kroger store.[9] Ray was sentenced to twenty years in prison for repeated offenses.

So in summary Ray was the perfect patsy for the FBI/CIA to pay off to kill MLK knowing he was too dumb to point the finger back at Gov.as to being setup.

Then again Kennedy, if he had lived to the same age as Carter, Ford, or Bush, would have died only a few years ago.
