Yes, I’ve had the (unfortunate) experience of visiting that station a number of times. At least the Munich station has a great biergarten across the street.
I was stationed at Spangdahlem, AB from 6/84 to 6/86. I went TDY about twenty times to a site we had in Bavaria and there were a lot of complaints from the locals about the number of Turks taking over certain areas.
