“contractual obligations”

She didn’t manager her affairs. It was put into the hands of her handlers (father and others).

How does that work?

Being told by some probate judge that you must honor contractual obligations, or you will be in contempt of Court. Likely her own lawyer has told her the only way to end this "guardianship" is to cooperate. Her father has complete control over her money, and can use her own money to drag her into Court and impose increasingly difficult restrictions on her, unless she'd prefer being in prison, or more likely, involutarily housed in a mental institution. Just a guess, but in reality, there is no aspect of your life in which a Court cannot interfere. Tyranny of the black robes.

She was locked up for 6 months in rehab. When they let her out, she went back to work earning money that her father gets full control of.

The father also controls what drugs she takes and had her on lithium for a while.

Hard to tell what’s true here. We do know that fame and money can make people evil and hollywood is a rotten machine when it comes to children, young women and young men. We also know the horrific things a parent can do to their children, all the way up to outright murder and torture. We see the stories all the time and most don’t even involve a multi million dollar motive. Just evil.

The court gave her father conservative-ship saying she had dementia 25 years ago but then she did 2 shows a day for 5 years in Vegas and has been performing ever since. Pretty amazing that someone with dementia for the past 25 years can remember choreography and the words to every song.
