RIP. Remember her for her role in Star Trek and also as Jackie Cooper's wife in the Columbo episode "Candidate for Crime".
Any relation to Larry Linville, who played Frank Burns on MASH?
My evidence...

I’d tap that like a keg of Michelob...
That was an interesting Star Trek episode. On one hand, she was a high ranking Romulan commander — the apex of the Feminist ideal. On the other hand, she let her infatuation with Spock cloud her judgement big time. Oops.
A few years ago, some fans in Kingsland, GA recorded eleven episodes, called “Star Trek Continues,” set in the universe of the original series. It is a true labor of love; the set and special effects look just like those used in the 1960s. Probably the best feature of “Star Trek Continues” is their excellent casting of actors. They had Chris Doohan, the son of James Doohan, play Scotty, so he did the Scottish accent perfectly. Michael Forrest, who played the god Apollo in one of the original episodes, was available to appear in a sequel, and when they needed an Orion slave dealer, they got an actor who played a big green guy already — Lou Ferrigno. I am mentioning this because the final two episodes involved a reunion with the Romulan commander played by Joanne Linville. Of course she was too old to play the part again, but her daughter looks just like her, so the daughter played the part instead. Check it out.

Wow. Being the first female to play a Romulan.
I would think she had accomplished many more important things in her life. We assign too much importance to media.
Hi.
Didn’t Spok “get some,” through the mind meld finger thingy?
5.56mm
RIP!
So she stole a part from a real Romulan actress and we’re supposed to celebrate her?
C’mon man.
That was always my favorite episode. Great story. And she was perfectly cast.
She made my ati matter matter
She’s dead Jim ...
Rest in peace and prayers for her family...
RIP.
Under appreciated, IMHO. RIP.
