A few years ago, some fans in Kingsland, GA recorded eleven episodes, called “Star Trek Continues,” set in the universe of the original series. It is a true labor of love; the set and special effects look just like those used in the 1960s. Probably the best feature of “Star Trek Continues” is their excellent casting of actors. They had Chris Doohan, the son of James Doohan, play Scotty, so he did the Scottish accent perfectly. Michael Forrest, who played the god Apollo in one of the original episodes, was available to appear in a sequel, and when they needed an Orion slave dealer, they got an actor who played a big green guy already — Lou Ferrigno. I am mentioning this because the final two episodes involved a reunion with the Romulan commander played by Joanne Linville. Of course she was too old to play the part again, but her daughter looks just like her, so the daughter played the part instead. Check it out.

Those shows were excellent. I recommend those TOS fans.

I saw those, and I was amazed at how spot-on the Commander looked. When I researched it, it made sense.

Her daughter nailed that role. In fact, the overall casting for that episode was excellent. That was real Star Trek.
