Florida man arrested for vandalism after doing burnout through Pride street mural

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — A Florida man was arrested after he intentionally did a “burnout” across a Pride-themed street mural earlier this week.

Witnesses said Alexander Jerich, 20, peeled out in his white Chevrolet Silverado around 8 p.m. Monday through the recently painted intersection, WPBF reported.

“This is a deliberate act of violence against the LGBTQ community,” Rand Hoch, founder and president of the Palm Beach Human Rights Council, told WFOR. “We’ve made such progress here in the last 30 years on LGBTQ issues. To see someone do something like this took me by surprise.”

Jerich was participating in a parade in honor of former President Donald Trump’s birthday that was organized by the Palm Beach County Republican Executive Committee, WPTV reported. The political committee did not comment to WPTV about the incident.

A witness who participated in the rally came forward Wednesday to police. He said he heard someone yell “tear up that gay intersection” before Jerich drove through it, WPTV reported. A license plate search led investigators to Jerich, WPTV reported. A witness also identified Jerich from a photo lineup.

Jerich turned himself in Thursday and was arrested and charged with criminal mischief over $1,000, reckless driving and evidence of prejudice, WPTV reported. He was later released on bond.

“Kudos to the Delray Beach Police Department for swiftly identifying and arresting this hateful criminal,” Hoch told WPBF.

The mural, which includes 11 colors and symbolizes unity, cost more than $16,000, WFOR reported.

“evidence of prejudice” is a crime??? What the heck is that charge?

How are all these black people getting away with attacking Asian people? The news story ALWAYS says “police are investigating if it was a hate crime.”

So driving around Delray Beach is an act of violence against the LGBTQ community.

That’s rich. If the Delray Beach community had a pro-2nd amendment, constitutional sheriff in the county, the gestapo pig cops who made the arrest would be looking for new employment 1,000 miles away from Florida.

Remember, a pro-2nd amendment, constitutional sheriff has the legal and armed muscle to take care of fat, big city gestapo cops.

The sheriff answers to the citizens who elected him. The fat, cop pigs answer to the unelected politicians, not the citizens.

Democratic politicians spending money on rainbow-colored gay pride roads is really telling of how they would act given full control of the national budget.

“An act of VIOLENCE, REALLY??”

That same sicko would probably call abortion an act of “love”, or something like that.

“charged with criminal mischief over $1,000, reckless driving and evidence of prejudice”

Evidence of prejudice? Imagine the case law behind that one.

“this hateful criminal” is a brave, virtuous American who is hated by a tiny group of individuals who highlight pride and vice and downplay patriotism and health.

Normally, murals are painted on walls. In fact, that’s part of definition of the word ‘mural’. If he managed to leave tire marks on a wall, that’s some driving.

“This is a deliberate act of violence against the LGBTQ community,” I’m sorry, but how is marking up paint on the street an act of violence?

“charged with criminal mischief over $1,000, reckless driving and evidence of prejudice”. OK, reckless driving I can see. But “evidence of prejudice”?? When did prejudice become a crime?

Burning an American flag is considered ‘protected speech’ by SCOTUS. How is defacing a ‘Pride’ ‘mural’ any different.

What kinds of things are people allowed to paint on Delray Beach’s streets? Do they have to be approved or can anyone with a bucket of paint play?

It Posted this Comment on another Thread (the one about flying the Rainbow Flag at our Embassies) a little while ago.

Seems apropos on this Thread as well. ----------------------------------------- Just to be clear on how this works. Burning the American Flag is NOT a Hate Crime. Burning the Queer Rainbow Flag IS a Hate Crime. That being said, allow me reiterate the FACT that Hate Crime Laws are another name for Thought Crime Laws, making them 100% Unconstitutional. Hate is a Motive, it isn’t a Crime. PERIOD!

Look at any intersection, they’re full of skid marks. And this guy was arrested and caged for leaving tire marks?

I know what I’d to this little homo shrine. Get creative people!

"It is thought-crime, Citizen. It is a terrible offense against the State. Do not concern yourself with the charges against this hateful thought-criminal, the State will see to it that he is dealt with. You should be concerned only with remaining free of thought-crime yourself, Citizen."

Meanwhile, millions of criminal illegal aliens from gawd knows where are crawling all over our cities.

4 Top fuel or funny cars or maybe some street outlaws cars could do a proper job. The so called “mural” would be a pile of rubber.

If this is “violence,” then burning an American flag is violence, defacing a Trump poster is violence, tipping over a right-to-life exhibit on a college campus is violence, BLM graffiti is violence, and so on.

Sooooo, burning a flag is ok, but laying rubber on a street is bad

Hating our flag, our holidays, white folk, our country, our religion, destruction of our monuments, statues, while hundreds of thousands rioted and looted the cities, but boy oh boy, don't you dare leave tire marks on a street covered with homo graffiti.
