KITCHENER -- A woman in her 90s living in a Kitchener long-term care home has died from COVID-19, marking the first related death in a fully immunized person in Waterloo Region.
On Sunday, health officials said the Village of Winston Park long-term care home is currently going through a COVID-19 outbreak.

Depends on who gets challenged in the “wild”. The bottom line is the virus has mutated so much that this Delta variant is like a bad cold for the unvaccinated but for the vaccinated the Delta variant is potentiated by a factor of 6. This is in the UK and their data is from the NHS and is fairly comprehensive.
1) It’s not reasonable to think that 1000s of people working on vaccines wanted to produce something to kill people.
2) It’s not absurd to find that vaccinated people have a worse result than anyone would expect. The primary parameter that defines death is the sheer number of particles inhaled at the infection event. Inhale few, the next exhale may send they away. Inhale many, some will stay in the lungs. The vaccinated think they are bulletproof and may subject themselves to more density of virus particles than they should.
3) There is entirely too much talk of Delta. It is creating an impression that Delta is an endpoint. It’s not. There will be a lambda eventually, and an omicron. Most mutations are not dangerous, but it only takes one to be Captain Tripps.
One mantra is if it saves just one person. The opposing mantra must also apply as we now see the stats rapidly shift to jab death.
Nobody said that COVID-19 vaccines are 100% effective. The reason why this is news is that, at least between two of the vaccines, it is uncommon. The exception proves the rule.
