Eric Clapton has revealed that his polarizing views on the coronavirus pandemic have strained his personal relationships.

“I’ve tried to reach out to fellow musicians,” the famed guitarist explained during an interview with YouTube channel Oracle Films. “I just don’t hear from them anymore. My phone doesn’t ring very often. I don’t get that many texts and emails any more. It’s quite noticeable.”

Clapton vocally challenged the U.K.’s COVID-related lockdown laws, even going so far as to release a single alongside Van Morrison condemning his government’s actions.

I would say they were not friends in the first place if they won’t speak to him because of that.

Yes, and he also had more success with J.J.Cale’s “After Midnight” than J.J. had.

“... wouldn’t fall into formation”.

A good way to say it. I shall try to remember.

Meanwhile, loser Mick Jagger and loser Dave Grohl recorded a song that included Trump bashing.

Two more artists to ignore.

Mister Eric had a very bad reaction to the 2nd jab. Supposedly he did not wait long enough before getting said jab. The he suffered greatly with physical pain. And now he is hating the medical and government establishments. In his younger days Eric was a heroin addict. Now, he is old. Any one has the reason to denounce gov. Socialism and or the medical establishment. Mister Eric may be over doing his own pain. Old people can be crabby.

I was a room service waiter when I was younger in Philadelphia and delivered a large meal to Clapton who answered the door. I was floored. I brought the cart in and a very good looking young woman was on the other end of the large suite and Clapton was tuned up. He played the Spectrum. BTW,the tip was average.

He’s going on tour, here in the states.

I’d love to be able to see his show.

Several times I’ve posted links to YouTube clips by reputable scientists who have hot-linked the articles they reference in the comment sections. They bring up significant issues and discuss them at length. One FR commenter posted back that people bringing up contrary information needed to be “forced” to listen to reason. Another said they were just making things up. At one point in the podcast linked below, the man on the right said he had several contacts in the Biden administration and when he surfaced information on vaccine factors showing up concentrated in women’s ovaries, he was told his thinking wasn’t politically correct and the man would not forward the information.

“Old people can be crabby”? Joe Biden - Exhibit A, also stoked by his Alzheimer’s and dementia.

I'll be seeing Van Morrison in a few months and would be jazzed if Clapton made a cameo appearance, even if just for Stand and Deliver. Those who want to support VM's "protest" against the lockdowns should take the opportunity to get out and see a great classic rock band.

A good thing I don’t have any “friends” in show business. I do and think and say exactly what I like without worrying about losing moronic “friends”.

eff um. Sheep mentality. They don’t think for themselves, they have a follow the crown mentality. Just because you have a dissenting opinion from another person, doesn’t mean you can’t be friends. They aren’t worthy of your friendship. Seek out new friends.
