This one’s even better. Only two minutes.

Wait for the end!

True story.

I hired an 18 year old kid for a seasonal summer position we had. About a week into the job he came into my office and broke down in tears and was all upset because he didn’t know the job started at 6:30 AM. He was all upset with me because I didn’t tell him the starting time in the interview, as if had somehow I had tricked him.

Watched a new food processing plant start up several years ago, with mostly local Millennial workers, at $15/hour starting wage.

Not hard or difficult work, but steady action for 8 hours. Had break and lunch periods, during which most all were on their smartphones constantly.

After 6 months, a great many had quit. Now, the place has many immigrants and n’er do well types.

A while ago we went skiing in NM and got there when they opened, which was 8 AM. The place was flooded with high school and college aged kids, all decked out and ready to go.

Funny how they were able to get up early for that, including driving for an hour (at least) to get there, but not school?

A friend who ran a retail operation had hysterical stories about job applicants. He had two come in together to ask about jobs. He said, “What’s 11+17?

They said, “Uh, give us a calculator and we’ll tell you.”

He had applicants come in wanting jobs but saying they were leaving immediately on vacations for several weeks so they couldn’t start for almost a month.

He sold the business a few years early and retired.

Both actors were Spot On, but the girl (Melissa Tucker) was hilarious. I checked her out on IMDB where it shows her having a few small parts since 2017. I think she’s a comer, and wish her well. Tom Katsis was the employer and did a great job of I-can’t-believe-this reactions.

Thanks for posting. Sending this on to family.
