Endless hours spent on virtue-signaling, coupled with a complete disregard for the fact that at least half the workforce might be Trump-supporters.
I work for a woke company, and it is an alternate universe. Employees of woke corporations are exposed to the woke narratives every single day. It's as close to brainwashing as I could ever have imagined. I now understand how Millennials have become militant social justice warriors, for they are accustomed to the constant narratives and take them as righteous and true.
Presently, because June is Pride Month, the company communications include rainbow banners proclaiming our support of gay pride and gay "marriage." Gays get a whole month of our attention, in a way. I say "in a way" because we do not change any of our actions, but we are still lauded for being inclusive.
A couple of months ago, the messaging supported transgenderism and other "isms" that were new to me. Before the isms, it was months of the false racist theme of police killing blacks. Management went about apologizing for being white racists. Blacks were encouraged to share their victimhood.
The focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion has stolen untold hours of company time from actual work performed. The DEI narrative is so one-sided that it is completely the opposite of standing for diversity and inclusiveness. Yet more and more corporations like mine are conforming to wokeness with new D&I departments.
For me, the line was crossed when our communications director stated that the worst day in our country's history was the January 6 Capitol "insurrection." Our communications director said this even though everyone in corporate management must realize that Trump-supporters are in their midst and in big numbers.

Look for terms like “mission focused company” to begin popping up. This means a company is eschewing woke politics on company time, and won’t put up with it.

Always say and write “Diversity, Inclusion & Equity.”
IOW, it’s the DIE agenda. It’s subtle but worthwhile.
For the same reason, I never say or write “Critical Race Theory.”

I'm fairly high up in the corporate org chart and the main reason we do it is because many RFP's we get will require that our company have a fair amount of this "diversity" indoctrination. So we jump through the hoops to be in compliance so that we can win some of these bids (and keep our lights on!)
The upper level executives mostly think it's a bunch of BS and were joking about the fact that only 11 employees joined one of the recent "woke" webinars but their main interest is keeping the company profitable and off the radar of the leftist rage mob that could destroy them on social media otherwise.
Not saying that's right but this is why a lot of corporations are going through the motions on this crapola.

Once the government got “The Phone Company” (at that time the largest private employer in the free world) to buy into their crap, it spread like a cancer throughout the business community.
What’s happening today with “wokeism” is just a natural progression from that....a social experiment that expanded geometrically at the point of gun.
I view the HR people as zampolits. Political officers. Useless with too much power.

After retirement I taught a business class at a local university for one semester. About 30% of the students were foreign and most of them were Chinese. The US students were very woke, lazy, and self centered. The Chines students were eager to learn, ambitious, driven to succeed, and extremely disciplined. My takeaway was the Chinese were hungry and ruthless while the Americans were hobbled with a sense of entitlement and lacking in a drive to succeed. There was no doubt in my mind the Chinese students will destroy the Americans in the marketplace of the future.
After years of almost zero wokeness in my company, this year they went full blown woke. There are pride banners on nearly every internal webpage. They now have pride celebrations, pride meetings, pride lunch and learns. I am not sure what happened to flip so far in one year.
Year ago we had a woman as the company president. In a townhall she was asked about the feminist and diversity celebrations. She said very clearly, “We aren’t doing that anymore. We are here to make money for the company.” That lasted through several new presidents and CEOs until now. I can’t imagine what will come next. Will it be more or will the pendulum swing back the other way? I guess time will tell. Retirement can’t come soon enough.

On our internal communication pages conservatives are practically shunned as third class posters. We've taken to communicating in secret.
Suggest we refer to DEI as DIE. Seems to capture it better.

Nobody around here wants to hear that, but they need to thank Xi Jinping. If not for his totalitarian, neo-Maoist misrule China would have surpassed the USA already.
China has young and immense intellectual resources that remain leashed by the CCP. They almost broke out a few years ago, but the old men got badly scared by the Internet and its power to share anti-government information. China has taken several steps backward in the last few years.
