There’s more information about the FBI and its role in January 6
American Thinker ^ | 19 Jun, 2021 | Andrea Widburg

While the “unindicted conspirators” may not be FBI agents, it’s still possible the FBI was involved -- and Biden’s still going to crack down on all of us.

On Tuesday, Revolver and Tucker Carlson made a stunning claim: They argued that the FBI’s charging papers against the people they arrested for entering the Capitol on January 6 (almost all of whom are still in solitary confinement) reveal that the FBI may well have been the ones encouraging people to engage in the activity the Democrats now claim was an “insurrection.” Having an “insurrection” now justifies AG Merrick Garland's forming an anti-extremist task force that targets people who doubt the November election or think the federal government is too big. There’s been legitimate pushback against this narrative. but Tucker has more information that still makes it possible that January 6 was indeed an FBI set-up.

For the background to this post, you can read my post from June 16 or, if you have the time, I urge you to watch Tucker’s monologue:

(video at link. If you have not seen it then you certainly should watch it here!)

The pushback came from one of Red State’s excellent writers, a person who writes under the name “shipwreckedcrew.” He’s a former prosecutor (which gives him credibility) and he contends that both the Revolver and Tucker misunderstood the FBI’s documents. Instead, he says that the presence of unindicted co-conspirators can mean several things, none of which puts the FBI in a bad light:

Having written between 500 and 600 indictments, I’ll say this: You call someone an “unindicted co-conspirator” in an indictment when 1) you’re not sure of their true identity; 2) they are not yet under arrest, you’re not certain where they are,

I watched Carlson’s presentation of Darren Beattie’s (the Revolver writer) allegations regarding the FBI. The natural-born cynic in me was troubled by the employment of the logical fallacy of the false conclusion (If it isn’t this then it MUST be that).

Beattie essentially claimed that, since the DOJ had yet to charge Person One, Person Two, etc, (much less actually identify them by name) these UC’s (unidentified Co-conspirators) MUST be FBI agents or CI’s (Confidential Informants).

The (not so) funny thing is that Shipwreckedcrew resorted to the very same logical fallacy in his criticism of Beattie.

The point of this exercise is the differentiation between “Is this true?” vs. “Can this be true”.

I support individual police officers. if they seem to be on the up and up. I’ve meet some kooky ones. As an organization, until i see some constitutional commitment, i’ll just pass for now. One philly cop went way out of her way to inform me they were going to tow my truck as it was blocking a huge dumpster being dropped inside an unused warehouse. Very good cop.

Thanks for the post. Sundance at CTH certainly has been right on the mark on many issues. I consider him a credible source who does the proper homework. I had forgotten about the Twin Peaks shooting. The story just dropped off the radar. Funny how that happens.

According to the "Justice Manual" (formerly known as the United States Attorneys' Manual), there is no reason to have unindicted co-conspirators.

Instead, if anonymity is essential, a generic reference should be used, like "Person 1."

9-11.130 - LIMITATION ON NAMING PERSONS AS UNINDICTED CO-CONSPIRATORS (Justice Manual)....

"Ordinarily, there is no need to name a person as an unindicted co-conspirator in an indictment in order to fulfill any legitimate prosecutorial interest or duty."

Could be that people the FIB has dirt on and has over a barrel to do "informant" work.....to make things happen that the FIB wants to happen, could have one last thing hanging over their head. Cooperate, testify and say what the FIB wants them to say or else "unindicted" changes to "indicted".

Trump must have been onto the FBI and other alphabets for them coming down so hard. Pelosi was definitely in on it yet has the gall to call for a full investigation. Hell awaits her with open arms. No ice cream there.
