I suppose it’s easy for me to say, because I wasn’t there, but you never should have gone in. I would have been extremely nervous to enter the capitol after it was breached, but people will often go with the crowd, and a lot of people were streaming in there.
None of that excuses the aggressive persecution some of these people. If you broke into some congresspersons chambers, you’ve got problems and you are the one who caused them. If you just ran through the halls between the barricades and waved an American flag, you need to demand your right to a speedy trial and get them to put their chips on the table. This long term imprisonment stuff is BS
