Not for me.
I was a natural body builder for about 7 years. Weights were easy, the diet is what about killed me.

Once a person builds that ‘base physique’ with weights, it only takes minimal effort to maintain it for the rest of their lives.

I’m 44 and really only need to pump iron 3 times a week minimally to maintain the pump/strength I wish to have.

I have upped my cardio game big time and I have to run about 20 miles per week as the metabolism ain’t what it used to be.

Oh, and let us know how the metabolism is holding up...

But you’re doing the right thing at 44. Keep it up and do not stop for anything or anybody. If your girl complains about your focus and time, get rid of her. If your buddies want to lure you away from your routine to pound beers, get rid of them too.

Because they do not care about your well being.

Oh, and take 2 weeks off every 6 months.
