Shouldn’t even be a National minimum wage.
No enumerated power for Congress to pass such a law.
Minimum wage has never been “liveable”. It’s where you get job experience. But with a population of unmotivated slackers who are unwilling to work hard and learn a trade the politicians will pander to them.
There should be no minimum wage...period!!!
Followed by: "Yet just a few years later, a study ..."
Failed to mention that the 2nd study was done in 2020. Of course raising the minimum wage didn't harm jobs because the unemployment rate was already sky high from the combination of the lockdowns and the gubment paying people to avoid work. So obviously businesses had to raise wages to get people to work. Any other time and forced wage raises by broke gubment would be harmful to jobs.
When you set a minimum wage, the effective minimum wage becomes zero - joblessness.
Even if you think we should have a min wage it should be up to the states and not the federal government.
Creation of a permanent unemployed underclass dependent upon the dole is the new reason for the Minimum Wage. It used to be there to protect the jobs and wages of white union members. Both were and are ultimately intended to keep Democrat politicians in office.
