I know a dog trainer who said often, badly-behaving dogs are as much in need of correction as are their owners.
I feel sad for these animals.
I feel sad for these animals.

10 years ago we adopted a puppy from a shelter. Maxx turned out to be the most disagreeable unsociable dog I’ve ever seen. He was only 10 weeks old when we got him, so we do not know why.
He cannot be trusted with other people. He barely tolerates me. But we have taken care of him all these years despite his problems.
This is true of most pet animals...
NOT ALL... but most..
You want to have a guilty pleasure, go find and watch the series “My Cat From Hell”....
I can’t help but crack up... You have people on TV literally saying if their existing cat and fiancee or BF or GF can’t get along they will have to dump the human.. not the cat... and then you have the BF/GF Fiancee crying about it... (not every episode, but more than a few)...
Like seriously, if the person puts their pet ahead of you while you are dating, where do you think you are going to rate if you get married?
Seriously though, reinforces most behavior issues are human related more than animal related.
Was this dog untrainable? Could someone with better instincts for dogs have done a better job? Maybe.
Adopting a dog shouldn't be a trend. This woman 'bit off' more than she could or was willing to take responsibility for.
Wrong dog owner, wrong dog, wrong reasons.
Yes, it's sad.
