Tasteless only in that there was no prayers offered for the young man’s safety and recovery.
As for the question as it stands; it quite literally is the most important question to ask since we are in the midst of promoting coronavirus shots worldwide for everyone from the old weak and vulnerable to the young strong and athletic. Playing a professional sport at this young man’s level makes him one of the probably 50,000 most athletic and in shape individuals in the world.
Knowing his vax status and how recent it was is maybe the single most important data point for anyone to know second only to his recovery status.
Or don’t you trust the science of gathering data during experiments?
Why is it “tasteless”?? I guarantee you, the very first thought of any sane person upon seeing that headline was exactly the same, e.g. “I wonder he recently took the jab” or similar.
