My mother regarded everything from cockroaches to crawdads to sand crabs as “bugs” for some reason. Have no idea why. Oddly enough, she would eat lobster — IF it was removed from the shell and cut into pieces first. When my dad was stationed at Eglin AFB in FL one summer and we went to visit him, he tried everything — with zero success — to get her to sample the chocolate-covered ants all the souvenir shops were hawking.

I don’t see anything in the scientific classification indicating that Koalas are related to cats - except that they’re both chordate mammals.
And so are WE. It’s just one, big, very inter-related universe....I guess.
Yeah...the guy had a Buck knife haircut, and was sitting in a bar in Port Orford, OR, so I passed on explaining the differences between metatherian and eutherian mammals.
I’ve always thought that having a pouch might be kind of useful...
(But, like Sarah Bernhardt, I’ve also thought that it would be fun to have a tail like a cat, to jerk back and forth maniacally when I was feeling angry or mischievous...)
