Collectivism is always ugly.
I want a society which values individual rights. If a society focuses on the Collective -- group identity -- then tyranny will result because this group will need to struggle and triumph over that group.
Clearly, the US has been going down that road for quite some time.

Normal healthy people don’t believe that they know what is best for everyone or even most of everyone.
