If you wanna race to the bottom, go with the tried and true, high school/college standby: Little Kings Cream Ale in the 7 oz. hand grenades. 5.5% ABV. Good for parties, late night study sessions, and for those who are employment-challenged and idle. Pretty smooth, too, low in bitterness, so you don’t get that beer burnout aftertaste, like you’ve just licked an ashtray.

An uncle was the brewmaster for Grainbelt beer, enjoyed throughout the upper Midwest.
The beer is now gone, and my only memory was the smell of hops - lots of hops.
BTW, Yuengling beer starts being sold in North Texas in about a month. Should be available all over Texas soon.
Remember, all the world’s a barstool.
I love all of the options now available with non-alcoholic craft beer. Probably had 50 varieties to choose from last week.

Growing up in Dayton/Cincinnati, I still recall those “Kings” during high school daze...

Yeah, you were Ground Zero for Little Kings. They started out in the late 50’s in Cincinnati, moved to my general neck of the woods for a few years (Frederick, MD), up to Wilkes-Barre, PA, a couple more, then came home back to Cincinnati. Brand, breweries, and company ownership have changed hands a few times since the beginning, but the ale bottles and brewing process have stayed the same. It’s almost become a craft or boutique beer in recent years and it’s hard to find, but it’s still out there.
Cincinnati had a few breweries - Weidemens. Burger, Schoenling, Little Kings - the latter was an offshoot of one of the larger breweries IIRC.
During my freshman year at UofCincy, my fraternity held a party on the rooftop of Weidemens Beer with a sorority. Good times...
