Cameron Kinley, the former United States Naval Academy team captain and class president who has spent minicamp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, had his request to delay his commission in order to play in the NFL denied. Acting Secretary of the Navy Thomas W. Harker denied Kinley's request, and according to Divine Sports and Entertainment, the Navy is also denying Kinley the ability to appeal the decision.
From another article on it these guys all got delay of service in the last couple of years to play in the NFL:
Jon Rhattigan (Army), Nolan Laufenberg (Air Force), and George Silvanic (Air Force).
So no illnesses, no dead wife, no sick kids. Go play football, we’ll see ya after.
Bingo!
i acknowledge i disagree with the way things are and that they are wrong!
abortion was illegal when Roger was QB but not now, you good with that too?
we’re done here.
But you never address the individual situation. 3 guys while he was in school got the delay. He didn’t. With no explanation. There’s a definite unjustness there. Sorry you can’t be bothered to actually think and see that.
it was unjust for the other three to deny a worthy cadet their rightful slot!
maybe they simply decided to correct the mistake
this is my last reply
Why? The military gets good PR. They’ll still serve.
Really, you’re just plain excessively wound up about this thing. It’s silly.
