Yep. Hold on to your history books. They will soon be our sole anchor to the past. Everything online is suspect. The 1619 Project, Critical Race Theory and certainly more are all designed to rewrite history.
In 1984, Winston wasn’t even sure of his age.
Who’s going after archive.org?
The protection racket.
“Hold on to your history books.”
No - the history books are full of one-sided accounts - all written by winners in war and politics.
The fake news of yesterday becomes the fake history of today.
And the fake news of today will become the fake history of tomorrow.
Just look at the “history” of events in my lifetime - the Vietnam War, Watergate, Iran Contra, BenGhazi.
They are already calling that “history” - and teaching it to our children - but not the version of the truth that I witnessed - it is the fake news version that is being codified into the history books.
The “history” of the Trumps vs. the Bidens will be no different - the same Leftists that control the media also control the publishing houses and school boards that produce history books and choose history curriculums.
Face it, when you read the history of, say, the Civil War, you are reading the North’s version. The South didn’t even call it the “Civil War”, much less get to influence how their side of the argument would be remembered.
Only the winners of wars get to call themselves “freedom fighters”, loyalists” or “revolutionaries”. The losers are called “traitors”, “racists”, “domestic terrorists” and “insurrectionists”.
Do those names sound familiar? They should, because that is how MAGA patriots will be remembered in history books - barring a miraculous political come-back by President Trump.
I posted this in a different thread a few days ago
” I just find it interesting that you can not find ANY of this information online anymore. Don’t you find that odd? “
Not really. Once books are sold it is hard to recall and edit them, it is hard to determine who might read them.
Now it is so easy.
When was the last edition of Encyclopedia Britannica, or World Book published ?
There is a reason Amazon calls their book reader “Kindle” even though it does not come with a free copy of fahrenheit 451

Yes, I agree that it’s far easier to scrub a database than it is to round up books and burn them.
I was making a slightly different point; namely, that history books are no more objective and truthful than journalism.
People have agendas and those in power are focused like a laser on preserving their legacy - making their political gains permanent.
The recording and teaching of a “history” that confirms their narratives and favors their agendas - is right at the top of their list of priorities.
