The Red Ball Project is making its first stop of the year on the Central Coast.
The Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History is bringing the exhibit to town for a five day tour.
The 15-foot inflatable sculpture by artist Kurt Perschke has visited three continents and more than 26 cities.
It'll make its way around Santa Cruz County after starting at the wharf on Tuesday.
Full schedule:
Tuesday, June 8 | Santa Cruz Wharf -- 21 Municipal Wharf, Santa Cruz
Wednesday, June 9 | Del Mar Theater in Downtown Santa Cruz -- 1124 Pacific Avenue, Santa Cruz
Thursday, June 10 | Esplanade Park Bandshell near Capitola Village -- 120 Monterey Avenue, Capitola
Friday, June 11 | Cabrillo College Downtown Watsonville Center -- 318 Union Street, Watsonville
Saturday, June 12 | The MAH in Downtown Santa Cruz -- 705 Front Street, Santa Cruz
Sunday, June 13 | Cowell's Beach -- 21 Municipal Wharf, Santa Cruz
And the point is.
Anybody have a BB gun? Darts anyone?
Well, that would be jolly amusing, no? Call it performance art.
That would make for one hell of a game of dodgeball.

Put a giant mask on it and you’ll have something
Thanks for the laugh! Perfect!
That’s my tag line.
The red balloon .
“Wait, no, I get what the artist is saying. It’s a ball. And it’s red. This is some deep stuff, man...”
Dude! That’s harsh!
You just really need to bong a whole lotta fine Chiba first, then you can see it.

It’s the missing one from Nena’s other NeunundNeunzig
It’s Kramer’s giant ball of oil!
Cristo is dead...
Looks like a giant red pill. . .one of the better works of modern art IMHO.
I never watched that show, but I do remember that. How I don’t know. Must have tuned into it, saw that opening and then never watched the show? I’ve heard it was good though. Sorry I missed it now. 8>)
