I recall the Clintons have made major “charitable contributions” to the Clinton foundation. It stinks, but it is apparently perfectly legal to make a tax deductible contribution to a charitable organization which you control.

I know that politicians often say that the wealthy and big corporations “need to pay their fair share” of taxes. But, assuming that all of these wealthy folks are following our tax laws, and not doing anything illegal, they are technically paying their fair share under our tax laws.
