and we loved it .... GREAT little scooter .... rusted out
I don't think the truck will work
It's a tiny 150
I did NOT see this coming.
Sized more like the original Ranger, perhaps?
Not keen on FWD for a pickup truck, but if it can be had in AWD, that’s probably Ok.
ROFL - as the former owner of 2 Mavericks, I found this - well - hilarious!
Drove an old Maverick into the mountains in central PA years ago, with 4 big dudes in it. It was so underpowered we had to back up the steepest hills.
I might get one. I have a F-250, but I want to get some credit. I heard that it will tow a trailer. For my law fare usiness, I can tow a trailer with a lawnmower and tools ..
>Front wheel drive, hybrid drivetrain with electric motor.
From Ford, a thing they call a truck that nobody asked for
“Actually the Maverick was a nice looking car. Looked like a small muscle care”
When I was a youngster a buddy’s Father had a Boss 302 version of the Maverick. It went pretty good. 290 ponies.
Wrecked my 02 Ranger over the holidays. Was constrained by length in garage also. Picked up an 18 Frontier....only a couple of inches longer. Stupid 1/2 doors both sides, but better bed size than a 4dr. Specs say turning radius is only about 2-4 inches more, but DO NOT believe it. Can’t cut worth a damn.
I had that Ranger for 19 years and loved it. Still have no idea how to operate half the dashboard controls etc. on this thing. Having a super hard time with the electronic accelerator.
This is the first vehicle (including boats) I’ve owned that I have little to no knowledge of how things work on it and it’s NOT a comfortable situation.
I always wondered why Ford named a vehicle after a legume - I mean, there just aren't that many vegetarians out there. And if they really HAD to go that route, why didn't their marketing guys insist on something with more style, like 'Garbanzo', 'Bambara', or 'Adzuki' instead?
;^)
Maverick made in Hermosillo, Mexico..... Thank you Joe Biden.
Matter of opinion I guess. The Hyundai looks like a chopped SUV or station wagon - another Subaru Baja. The Maverick looks like a little truck which I prefer.
I liked the styling of the initial little trucks of the 1970s - Toyota, Datsun, Ford Courier, Chevy LUV - they all looked like little trucks. The Hyundai and Subaru Baja both look like the car-based trucks like the Chevy el Caminos or the Ford Rancheros.
My 03 F150 regular cab was a great truck.
Last year it caught on fire, truck was destroyed.
I miss it. It had a 6 foot bed which rotted off
so I put a flatbed on it, took me 2 days to build it.
Learned to drive in a ‘71 Maverick. My Dad got a ‘78 with the 302 V8, that was more fun. But compared to new cars they were crap.
My Mom’s’71 had holes in the quarter panels big enough for the jack to fall out.
After a couple of winters in Upstate (waaay upstate) NY, my wife’s ‘79 Pinto looked like and actual Pinto. What with all the spot-primer work.
A 4.5 ft bed? Why bother?
This looks so different from my 1972 Ford Maverick.
You can order a regular cab F-150.
Rusty but trusty.
