President Reagan's Address at a United States-France Ceremony Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Normandy Invasion/D-Day - 6/6/84.
Biden speech: “Some guys landed here. You know, great French bread, wine and babes. I like the barrettes in your hair, you sweet thing. Are you 19? See me afterwards. Man, the thing made it hard for them to get ashore, but they made it.”
Me too
Thanks
Hard to believe it has been almost as long since that speech as that speech was since D-day.
I’m getting much older. Much older than I believe I think. Which means I don’t tend to dee things as younger people do I suppose.
I don't think that's the case. Maybe just with a little more wisdom and experience.
And on the 50th anniversary General Clinton was there desecrating the beach for photo ops.

Operation Overlord, never forget. Thank the All Mighty for the wise and brave leadership he bestowed upon this country and thank the All Mighty for the tens of thousands of young men who took it upon themselves to face and overcome the enemy’s fierce defenses.
Thanks for posting.
On a sour note, it reminds me of how old I am. ;~(
No, I believe we see things from a different perspective that is the sum of all of our experiences to date and our sense of normal resulting from that. It is the twist that makes history not repeat but rhyme. It is the reason people can look at equal facts and come to different conclusions. We logically come to the same conclusions but flavor them with ourselves.
Some people get older and wiser some just get old. Some accumulate and build on experience others just experience the same thing over and over waking in a new old world every day.
Or obama who says I, I, I etc. and would never mention the war.
