It isn’t a million dollar idea until the inventor makes a deal on Shark Tank.

Their steel 13.5- x 10-inch perimeter is way too small for my round 15" pizzas. Why they didn't make a round steel "stone" is a excuse for a moneygrubber.

Dang, why didn’t I think of this?

A piece of 1/4” sheet steel with rounded corners for $55.

It’s nearly on par with water in a plastic bottle for $1.79.

Gosh, I don't know if it worth a million. Would you take $8.50? I have to frame it and it may hang around the shop for some time

only in today’s world steel can identify as stone...

it’s an over glorified pizza pan...

geez...

The Oven Steel appears to be incredibly versatile (and recyclable!), which may explain its overwhelming surge in popularity

But is it sustainable? Leftist morons. It's an over price hunk of steel. People will be gullible enough to buy it because they have no idea how to source and cut the metal to size on their own.

Material really makes little difference. It’s an issue of thermal mass and thermal inertia

Heat up a ballon fo 350° F, add a cake and the temp drops fo room temp range instantly. No thermal mass. Energy is a function of mass AND temperature.

Add some small clay pots of sand do your oven, and it will heat slower, but it will also maintain that temperature better. There is a reason why commercial ovens weigh hundreds to thousands of pounds. You need mass. It’s not optional

Unglazed quarry tiles. If you get 8x8 and use four they’re a good size for a 13” pizza, easy to stack and store when done. Work great. Lots cheaper.

We made a crude pizza steel plate many years ago and even formed an detachable handle to remove it from the oven. Nothing scientific about it. My uncle just loved tinkering with metals/knifesmithing etc.

Anyone here tried the stainless steel whiskey rocks?

Doesn’t really matter if it’s better. As long as they market it right, they’ll sell a million of them.

Why would I want to invest in a company proposing to sell an overpriced pizza steel when there already are at least a couple of dozen companies selling more reasonably priced versions of the same item?

Wait a couple of years and you’ll find it on the shelf of your local dollar store like every other usless dodad and gadget out there. I have searched far and wide the antique kitchen utensil aisle. I’ve found some very useful items.

You can calibrate a home oven yourself in a few hours, bringing it closer to accurate. All it costs is time and a $5 oven thermometer.
