Nah, true reparations can only come from the United Nations--countries all over the world were involved in the slave trade for centuries.

The African tribes captured the slaves and sold them, the Spaniards and Portuguese who loaded them on ships and sold them, the US merchants (north and south) who bought them and resold them to the southern plantations.

Of course the northern US folks who then freed the slaves should get credited some amount...

What I want to know is how they handle a black person has one ancestor who was a slave and another ancestor was a black African who sold slaves--does the person have to have two bank accounts so they can have one bank account pay reparations to the other bank account?

1) dangle a dollar and they will want 2 dollars. 2) Don’t take any of my tax dollars to pay for this, the slaves were free when my ancestors arrived. 3) American blacks, despite slavery and racism, are dramatically better off than their African counterparts.
