NAPA (CBS SF) — Napa County has reported its first death from COVID-19 in a fully vaccinated patient, a county spokesperson said Thursday.
The woman, a Napa resident, died Wednesday, said Leah Greenbaum, public information officer for Napa County. She was over 65 years of age and had underlying medical conditions and died from complications of COVID-19 after a prolonged hospitalization.
The woman tested positive for the B117 (UK) variant, which is more transmissible and causes more severe illness.

My left eye did that bright flash thing and then went temporarily blurry. End product was 3 permanent black spots when I blinked at a blank wall. Got dragged to Wills eye hospital in Philly and then transferred to the stroke unit at Jefferson hospital. It was technically called a stroke. Still motorin. Worst part was the annoying MRI in the middle of the night. I set the bonging to Rage Against the Machine in my head. Six years ago and no further problems.
