Twenty twenty-one is the year for canceling back.
Canceling back, as I practice the art, is not about retribution. It is about either strengthening or eliminating connections by asserting the highest truth I can perceive and requiring my viewpoints based on that truth to be respected in the relationship. My views on the questions of the day, such as the significance of race, are based on efforts to integrate unchanging truth given by God with the knowledge given by man. My views are considered transgressive by dominant mainstream America. I had largely accepted keeping my beliefs, including those about race, hidden from all but my closest connections. I will no longer do that.
For example, I was recently contacted by a 68-year-old physician, who is a friend of a friend. She wanted me to do something for her, and by way of introduction, she sent me pictures from her same-sex engagement party. She was proud that the other woman was much younger. I responded, "I want to help you, but I will not be opening the attachment because I do not believe that God sanctifies same-sex marriage. This is a deeply considered viewpoint in a difficult question that I have studied for years. I am going to send you some discourses, which I think beautifully summarize why I do not support same-sex marriage. I would like you to read them carefully so we can build an authentic connection based on integrity and mutual respect." I never heard from her again.

If ANYONE ever tries to require my attendance at a ‘whiteness’ class, I will remind them that (a) what YOU say whiteness is, is nothing that I am or have done, and (b) I don’t identify as white, which is a good thing since YOU hate whites. (C) I will pass on your class since it is for hateful people.
Let them try to tell me I am not “white.”
I think I identify as non-racial.
My race is the human race. My identity is Jewish. My nationality is both Israeli and American. My political affiliation is independent. My sexuality is as often as my wife can be persuaded to consent, preferably with great eagerness. My economic class is usually stone broke. I’m left-handed. We have suffered great oppression from right-y. My favorite flavor ice cream is ice cream.

WRT to being left-handed. I too am lefty. We are roughly 10% of the population and yet the world revolves around right-handedness. Every day we endure countless microaggressions from the right-handed oppressors. We are invisible and ignored.
TO wit, the Latin word for left is SINISTER. See how even the language degrades us? Stirring liquids in a leftward circle (called widdershins) was considered witchcraft.
We have been persecuted for centuries.

Anytime one needs to put a Qualifier before “Lives Matter”, it shouts discrimination.

We need affirmative action for lefties. Whereas right handed people can shoot left handed rifles, quite easy to do as you put it on the other shoulder and use the other index finger to squeeze the trigger, lefties cannot do this and feel oppressed if expected to do so. Right handed people can type and play piano and do many things with both hands, but left handed people cannot use a finger on their non dominant hand to squeeze a trigger. They must have special equipment.
I propose that henceforth all rifles and pistols be left handed. Righties will have no difficulty with this and lefties will finally be able to defend themselves.
I recognize the long term social implication of this, because more lefties will then survive violent encounters, living to reproduce. No one knows what the impact may be, but we will be a step closer to lowering ceilings and door ways for short people!
