FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WMC) - Just one COVID-19 case is considered an outbreak in a long-term care facility because of how easily it can spread in a community setting and the high-risk residents. Mississippi health officials are announcing two new outbreaks that are all tied to breakthrough cases.
However, Thursday the Mississippi State Department of Health reported 10 additional cases of the highly infectious South African COVID-19 variant in nursing homes in Forrest and Covington counties.
In all 10 cases, everyone was fully vaccinated. Medical professionals call these breakthrough cases.

The vaccines were only tested to determine reduction of severity - remember when Fauci et. al. admitted that? Remember the CDC and MSM saying it wouldn’t stop you from getting sick, it wouldn’t stop you from spreading it to others, but it was supposedly going to reduce illness severity.
Those ‘trials lasted 2 weeks to 2 months, so efficacy rates were unrealistic as people will have continued exposure beyond that brief time period.
Then they started vaccinated and Fauci claimed, ‘we’re seeing evidence that it prevents infection.” Not a research study, just what Fauci is ‘seeing’.

PS: If you have Covid-19 and recover, you have immunity to ‘variants’. The talk of ‘variants’ is being used to cover the ADE and other illnesses/failures of the vaccines.

The idea is to stop the spread/transmission of the virus' to others and dividing into other variants.
The variant in the Uk was more contagious than the original covid virus and more deadly...
If you're vaccinated , even if you get covid, it's much less contagious/transmittable than if you're not vaccinated...

Factoids:
The average stay in a nursing home (skilled nursing facility) is 14 months. There is a substantial standard deviation on that average. Some are there many years.
But note also that the statistic has to be carefully computed because 40 yr olds recovering from particular procedures may spend several months in that facility before leaving. Drags the average down.
Interesting article about vaccines recently. It was focused on J&J, and compared to AstraZeneca, Russia’s Sputnik V (codeveloped with Japan), Sinovac, and Pfizer, Moderna. The comparison is not what you likely have heard.
The CDC makes no recommendation. They say they will recommend one vaccine over another only when a clinical trial is done comparing the stats and that trial must be done in the same population, and in the same timeframe. No such trial has been done.
To date, J&J is the only vaccine that in it’s trial specifically attempted to measure vs particular variants. It was later last year when the mutations had time to develop. Most others were rushed to trial completion and data collected before mutations had developed.
J&J did a 40,000 sample trial with significant numbers in Brazil and South Africa. They declared 50-60% effectiveness in populations explicitly and thoroughly infested with variants.
As of today, no one else has done a large sample trial in a thoroughly variant affected population. Reports to the contrary are usually lab declarations of antibodies and how they behave vs the variant virus. Even AstraZeneca in the UK has not done a huge trial in the UK vs their Kent variant.
Note that 50-60% is bad marketing, but the J&J people chose accuracy. Those numbers are for mutated populations. Against the original virus they are likely as good as any alternatives. But they challenged their vaccine against the likely predominant version of the virus — which will not be the original
As said the idea is to stop the transmission to others.....if the covid virus load is less it’s not going to spread as quickly so fewer cases.
