Full Video Link: 7NEWS Spotlight: The Phenomenon UFOs are a hot topic right now. [SNIP] Australia has thousands of its own UFO sighting reports dating back decades, including hovering flying saucers and giant black triangles. But there’s one incident from the 1960s that Australian Government officials have tried to cover-up, even going as far as threatening civilian witnesses. The bombshell revelations are uncovered by investigative reporter Ross Coulthart in the 7NEWS Spotlight special The Phenomenon. The Westall incident in 1966, Westall High School was a college of about 600 pupils in Melbourne’s southwest. On April 6, 200 staff, students and residents witnessed ‘metallic discs’ or ‘flying saucers’ over a local football field. Andrew Greenwood is one of those witnesses and a former schoolteacher. For the first time, he’s allowed himself to be identified to tell his story. Andrew was teaching a year 9 science class when a young girl burst into the classroom saying there was a ‘flying saucer’ outside. “I can remember running out into the oval, looking into the sky, and seeing these things, and just standing there absolutely transfixed,” Greenwood told 7NEWS Spotlight. “I haven’t seen anything in my life like it before, haven’t seen anything since. “It was a grey, almost cylindrical or cigar shaped object which moved with some degree of precision in the sky.” Sound of silence Two weeks later, Greenwood was paid a visited by two senior Australian Air Force officers, one in uniform and the other in a civilian suit. He claims the men threatened his job if he spoke out about what he saw. “Absolutely, I was threatened. I was told that I should not say anything about it.”

OMG...say it ain’t so........
It was just an inflatable boomerang.
It was a swamp gas-filled weather balloon piloted by Bigfoot...and all those children and Mr. Greenwood must be drunken, disreputable idiots.
One of my nagging questions has been whether there haven been recorded sightings of UAPs by other militaries in the world.
And whether these is a discernible distribution pattern of such sightings.
Because I’m wondering if the intelligence behind these objects, whether terrestrial or not, has picked a side.
Just secret man made military craft no doubt
Ping of interest.
1966 was a big year for man-made military UFO’s. I wonder why they fell out of fashion.;-)
There have been sightings all around the world...and the same goes for abductions.
UFO sightings were all the craze in the late 1940s and into the 1950’s. I was just a kid but remember the “ Operation Blue Book” on UFO sightings from 1947 thru 1969. It investigated over 12,000 sightings (reported) and claimed to be able to explain all but a bit over 700 of them.
I miss crop circles. What ever happened to those?
Westall ‘UFO’ incident was actually government radiation testing, reports reveal
Hiding their testing more successfully?
Since I believe it is a deception, I do niece they have picked a side. That side will not be the Christian one.

President Johnson sent, belatedly, a team down to Melbourne to investigate the incident. Too bad he didn’t know it was radiation testing, he could have saved the money for other useless purposes.
Picked a side? These aliens, if that's what they are, probably look at us the way we might look at monkeys. Whether one troop is tossing feces at another troop is really of little interest.
Deer camp, mid 60’s, night time - Cascade Mountains in Washington State - four of us saw a bright object moving much faster than a jet airplane then it stopped, split into two pieces and they both took off like a shot. The event might have lasted 30 seconds. No idea what it was.
They’ve stopped short of conceding non-human origin, haven’t they?
