Surgical constipation combined with narcotic constipation is a bit more than just ordinary constipation. Bran muffins may work for some but for me it was a combined effort of a number of products.
A couple bottles of Guinness usually works for me; at least, you don’t care much anymore...
On a more serious note, magnesium powder is good. I’ve used one called ‘Natural Calm’ - it’s a smooth muscle relaxer.
